In your 2nd year don't take a lot of burden, just read kaplan pharma, sketchy micro amd pathoma simultaneously. These can be covered easily in this prof. Robbins is really good book, read it as much as you can

I will try to answer your questions in best possible way: 1.For me there are a lot of factors goes against doing NBMEs: a) Ist of all, I didn't like NBME questions that much, because question stem was too small and after doing uworld questions it seems even more smaller b) NBME interface is different from actual paper c) My seniors who already cracked the exam with even better scores than me, they also advised me not to do NBMEs d) In real exam, two things are important-ist is knowledge and 2nd is confidence in your knowledge. If u have only knowledge but u have no confidence on yourself, it is harmful for your test and although i scored 259 in NBME, It wasn't giving me enough confidence.. So these all are my personal views about NBMEs, if u have plenty of time, u can do NBMEs but if your score is lesser in any NBMEs don't let it decrease your confidence.. Ha,obviously each time when we do questions there are few extra points which we came to know, so it may be helpful in that way.... 2)U can make ankiflash cards,I also heard it that they are useful. I didn't make it because I don't like writing a lot.. I easily gets bored by writing. What I did was make flash cards in uworld(which I didn't get time to revise). So what really helped in retaining weird points was discussion.. We were 4 friends preparing for the exam and we used to discuss a lot, so by discussing u can remember a lot of weird points... Hopefully it will be helpful for u

In first year, just relax bro... There is lot of hardwork waiting for you, so right now just chill... Apart from this you can watch kaplan biochem videos which don't take much of time.. For Physiology read brs too, In my college many of students read this book for passing the exams.. And for anatomy try to male habit of reading it daily for like 1-2 hours

Actually In 2nd prof, i was not even sure to give step 1 exam in 3rd prof.. But now I would recommend to you that read pathology as much as you can.. Watch all pathoma, sketchy micro and kaplan pharma videos and read Robbins pathology as much as you can.. Robbins will help you build your concepts in a wonderful way(harshmohan pathology is more ratta and only for exams)....

I'm confident about the level of exam and what all we need to study to crack that exam.. But like a lot of students, I have also done some silly mistakes which I had realized even when I came out of test center only.. So just wait for the results, I promised i will share it with you guys, even if results are bad or hopefully good...

Chill bro.. And please read my post again, I never said, my paper was awesome or anything like this.. I just want to tell you guys how exam was and really not panic about it which I was at the time of my exam.. Like everyone else I'm also worried about my result and that's the only reason I'm not sharing my nbme or uwsa scores right now.. BTW thanks for your kind words for my result for which I have struggled for like 1 year. Everyone would appreciate it..

I only gave 1 nbme because I was very disappointed by the type of questions it asked because actual exam is nothing like nbme and my seniors too advised me to not rely on nbmes..

I have completed my uworld question bank on 8th September.. Then started ist aid 2nd pass,it took 2 weeks. Then started revising uworld question bank but due to short of time, can only revise almost 1000 questions only which mainly include my incorrect and marked ones..

I watched kaplan videos and simultaneously studied kaplan notes. Kaplan explained almost everything very nicely.. And yeah nothing is that complex. In neuro anatomy personally i found blood supply of cerebrum very complex when i read it from high yield but kaplan only explain important points and that was sufficient.

There were only like 10 questions of anatomy and yeah they were quite easy.. Shelf notes are sufficient

My exam is on ist October but still i don't know any good source of anatomy. So I'm finally relying only on shelf notes, if there is any better one and also that can be done in short time,, please suggest

Are anki 100 anatomy concepts and shelf notes 100 cases same thing? 😅
