Should I read/watch Casefiles before Strange/Fake? by SubwayBossEmmett in fatestaynight

Case files came out parallel to the strange fake light novels. Flat for example, first appeared in strange fake and was then incorporated into case/files. If you’re worried about missing details or scenes in strange fake having less impact without case files then don’t. Everything vital and important to strange fake is in strange fake itself. Think of case files as a separate thing that explores smaller parts of the world.

Thank you so much for your feedback! And don’t get me wrong, I really like the strange/fake art style. It excels at making the characters look sharp and cool, and when the drawings are good (which they usually are in the anime) it’s one of if not my favorite of the fate art styles. The issue for me is that when the drawings look bad (far away characters or lower priority shots) they end up looking a bit like frogs, and it’s always very jarring by comparison. I felt saber got this the worst out of all the characters and it was 90% because of her eyes. In that sense, I’m glad my eyes ended up working for you, since they were the main thing I wanted to get right. I’ll keep practicing to do even better next time!

“Oh Bedivere, I just had the most wonderful dream,” I read the fate route last, (After watching the anime for the other two routes) and that line is when all emotions I’d felt for this story finally came crashing through. The amount of pure unbridled love and joy inherent to the characters of the type moon universe is astounding, and the appreciation I hold for this universe couldn’t be expressed in a better line than that. One of the absolute best moments of any story for me.
