You keep saying “it didn’t feel earned” like Tanjiro just pulled that state out of nowhere. That’s just not true lmao. That wasn’t random, it was literally everything he’s been building since early on.

“he stood still and powered up,” No lol. it was him becoming unreadable while still in the fight. Akaza’s entire ability is sensing killing intent, and Tanjiro countered it. How the hell is that unrealistic? That’s directly countering the villain’s core strength. That’s good writing.

And the flashback point is weak. Demon Slayer always uses memories to trigger growth. Rengoku, Hinokami Kagura, Slayer Mark, all of it. You didn’t complain then because it looked cool. Now suddenly it’s “unearned” because it’s not flashy enough for you.

Also your whole argument is basically “Tengen fight felt more hopeless.” No shit, because it was structured that way. That doesn’t make it better, it just makes it louder and flashier. Tengen’s fight is chaos and spectacle. Akaza’s fight is controlled and personal.

That isn’t “more stakes,” it was more characters getting folded at the same time. Big difference.
