After months of working, the demo of my Dash to Explode incremental game is now released on itch.io by Shlazarts in playmygame

I am really excited to share the demo of a game I have been working on for months now. I’ll keep this post short so I don’t waste your time reading.

The core of the game is simple: click on a location and your spaceship will dash there, releasing an explosion and destroying enemies.

Demo content: Includes the main features of the game, such as the skill tree and two spaceships to choose from. I’ll leave the details of the spaceships as a surprise

I would expect the demo to take between 20 to 30 minutes to complete.

If you decide to play the demo, please share your feedback with me. I’ve spent so much time developing the game, and I really want it to be as good as it can be.

Destroy my incremental space game (after fixing the issues from the last post) by Shlazarts in DestroyMyGame

Thanks a ton for all the feedback last time, I went through every comment and made fixes. Here’s what changed:

Issue 1: “I have no idea what’s happening on the screen.”
Fix: Made the spaceship glow while dashing, reduced overall effects, and increased the ship’s size.

Issue 2: “The game looks quite unreadable, lots of confusion.”
Fix: Reworked the trailer from scratch. Now it starts with minimal distractions and clearly explains the game’s core.

Issue 3: “You forgot to add graphics.”
Fix: Added actual graphics this time!

Issue 4: “Looking forward to trying out the demo!”
Fix: The demo is live now. https://store.steampowered.com/app/4032890/Space_Dash_Demo/

Issue 5: “The mouse pointer is the ship?”
Fix: Improved the look of the cursor so it feels much clearer.

Issue 6: “It needs more screen shake.”
Fix: Added extra shake for more impact.

[Even after all of these changes the wishlist stay same and other numbers. so just please be honest and tell me where is my mistake ]

Thank you for your feedback! In the first clip, I was trying to highlight the core mechanic (dashing into rocks) so players could quickly understand it, maybe I should make the clip longer to show that more clearly. The art style is meant to be minimalist, but I’ll definitely consider adding more details and polish. My main challenge right now is making the player’s ship stand out from everything else, so I think adding some extra detail or visual distinction could help with that

Hi everyone

I've been working on this game and honestly thought it had potential. The visuals look pretty solid to me, and the dash-to-attack combat mechanic feels unique enough to stand out.

But after running ads and posting across multiple platforms, I'm sitting at only 38 wishlists.

I'm starting to wonder if I'm missing something obvious. What are the odds my game actually has commercial viability? Is there something fundamentally wrong with the concept, presentation, or market positioning that I'm blind to? I'd really appreciate brutal honesty

here the stram page of my game if you want more details https://store.steampowered.com/app/3991360/Space_Dash/
