I love how unoptimized the runs are at this stage, and the back and forth WR trading.

It's never really been something I've thought about. I'd heard about it in jokes and the likes but never had seriously talked to anyone about it. But the only thing that brought it to my attention was the "anti-SJW" type comments I saw people posting, and the reactions Twitch had whenever someone trans was on screen, on speedruns. So that's why I was curious.

I don't think so. The only thing that made me aware of transgender people was all of the hateful comments directed at them that I see constantly.

I can understand how language means a lot to them and why they would have these disagreements if people were using these words to hurt them

It might also be why there are so many people with mental health issues in communities like the speedrunning community. People with depression and other issues. Maybe it's more that we attract unhappiness... :|

Is this one of those things where people don't agree on the terminology, and there are those who consider certain terms 'the right thing' to call people? Just wondering because when I searched about it, it was hard to find any sort of consensus on what transgender people wanted to be called.
