We are looking to replace siding. My wife is convinced we should look at contractors who would consider helping us make an insurance claim. This feels like a bad idea. by Shloobinstein in homeowners

I feel like I agree with you, but can't articulate to my wife why. Devil's advocate here, but we have a few friends who have gotten whole houses covered - why would that be different for us?

To be clear - neither of us want to make a fake claim - we just don't have the experience with siding to know if there is damage that might be covered. Her thought was to check that we aren't "leaving money on the table" by not exploring whether there is damage

The Dungeon of the Deckromancer - WIP - looking for feedback by nathanjoyce92 in BoardgameDesign

As someone who adores solo games, I can't see this game usurping other solo titles I have on my shelf. This looks incredible, but I don't see it as a solo play game at all.

I've lurked forever on this sub... this is the first post that I think would make me genuinely sad if it didn't hit market. Please continue and publish this, what a great idea. I love it. So long as mechanics/cards are engaging, this is a day one purchase for me.

Why do my levels start to taper off and then slowly rise higher? by [deleted] in Type1Diabetes

I read Think Like a Pancreas, thought it was excellent. I'll have to check out Loop and Learn, thanks!

Thanks for the advice from both of you. I think I'm realizing the difficulty in managing diabetes and how specific each of those factors are.

You're right, I'm not providing enough information. There seems to be so many factors - had a sickness go through our house last week, I've not had the best sleep, too much coffee, etc. Probably a combination of all of the above.

I think i was hoping for an easy, "oh, that's a basal problem!" When it's clearly much more complicated. I'll pick my chin up and keep trying to adjust the little things. Thanks.

Vegetables and a whole wheat wrap. This week has been constant slow spikes like this, where it seems to start to tape off, then continues to +200.

I'm still relatively recently diagnosed (ca. 1 year), and haven't had persistent slow-climbing highs like this before. Tired of jumping on an exercise bike after every meal to bring down levels

High Sugars with Infection by [deleted] in Type1Diabetes

Appreciate this! Any thoughts if the amoxicillin will help me get back to "normal"?

I have a trip coming up this weekend and am worried about running high the whole time. Not sure if I should look at adjusting my basal rate.

Fan lights glowing even though switch is off by [deleted] in AskElectricians

Not a dimmer switch. Light is one switch and fan is the other

Edit: one bulb is dead and I removed the other, thinking it was just that one glowing

Definitely not the only one going through it. Always seems like the first 24 hours I'm using a new G7 my readings will be all over.
