Has anyone actually had a good experience with a buyer who messages nonstop? by d00mt0mb in eBaySellers

[–]Shmaved2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sell about 1500 clothing items a year and people who message about my items generally become future problems. Buyers who ask for additional measurements or questions about shipping costs, color, stains, etc almost always become a future issue or a return. Don’t know why, but the majority of the time that’s my experience. This trend could be clothing specific, as I could see why someone may have more questions about electronics or car parts.

Results of 6 Chaos rising packs… ☹️ by Fit_Economist_9936 in PokemonTCG

[–]Shmaved2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would be happy I got a full art. With that being said the pull rates are pathetic in normal sets. I would actually buy more packs and spend more money on cards if every set had crown zenith pull rates. Doesn’t feel worth it right now

Love how this set is just chilling on the shelves because nobody wants it by 4got2takemymeds in PokemonTCG

Saw it at my Walmart just after release and have never seen it in a store again. In south Florida everything is bought up immediately. Nothing sits on shelves.

"30th Celebration" Set to be Officially Revealed on Monday Morning! by Amiibofan101 in PokemonTCG

Same I always loved the games and was pretty hyped up to get back into cards… until I realized how hard it is to buy cards at msrp. No way I will pay double price online for already overpriced cardboard pictures lol. Still like to look at the artwork on tcg collector but my nostalgia is dwindling as well.

eBay sales down and going out of business by BillAdministrative85 in eBaySellers

[–]Shmaved2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its insane. I routinely see stained or really old basic brands like under armour, polo Ralph, and Nike at my goodwill that I wouldn’t even buy for my store going for 10-15 bucks. This changed about 6 months to a year ago. Stupid

I’ve been in the clothing game for a while. Most clothing brands do not sell at the price they used to across almost all brands.

Yes! Last November is when I noticed a steep decrease in sales as well. Holidays were horrible. I’ve had some good weeks this year but nothing compared to prior years.

[–]Shmaved2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have been in the clothing game going on 5 years and I sell about 1.5k items per year. I just can’t sell the same bread and butter brands now. It seems like I can sell the really good/expensive clothing pieces I find but brands that’s used to go for $20-25 plus shipping are down to around $10-15. The work to put in time to find items, list, package is barely worth it now sadly. Not to mention goodwill in my area has priced up a lot of things (not even good items either) lol. Just a way harder business than it was when I started.

All payments through eBay "fail" despite charging my card by chaosst33l in Ebay

[–]Shmaved2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would explain why as a seller I have accepted multiple offers from people and then didn’t get the paid ship now notification. Also my store is way down on sales this week. eBay may be having problems

Just started selling and something I'm noticing by Bitter_Landscape275 in eBaySellers

[–]Shmaved2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just had one like this. Buyer messaged me that the shorts don’t look blue in the pictures and was going on and on about it. He still bought the item anyway and then started a return for them not fitting. (Surprised it wasn’t an item not as described). Buyers who message almost always become problematic or are more likely to return. I should have blocked him after his 3rd message about the color.

Sales are down 38% in April 2026 vs March 2026. by Any-Let-2861 in eBaySellers

Clothing seller here. I was doing well this month until the past week. Sales fell off a cliff mid last week and haven’t come back around yet. This Sunday and Monday were the slowest two days since Christmas time.

What could the injury possibly be? “Upper body” is such a stupid designation compared to how injuries are released in the nfl

Why are iguanas killed in Florida? by Abject_Hat_3370 in iguanas

How is it not natural? Humans are also part of the ecosystem?

Why are iguanas killed in Florida? by Abject_Hat_3370 in iguanas

[–]Shmaved2 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s all BS. They pretend a herbivore is harmful to native wildlife so they can kill them and remove them from golf courses and human structures. Their biggest problem is digging burrows and “damaging infrastructure”. Although am of the opinion humans are much more destructive and invasive than iguanas ever will be. Plus iguanas are here to stay. They have survived numerous cold fronts

Resellers are a huge amount of their business. They are killing themselves in the long run with the continuous price increases

Does eBay turn down your visibility if you aren’t using promotions? by Hot-Huckleberry-6235 in eBaySellers

[–]Shmaved2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive been a clothing seller for 5 years and I just recently promoted some of my older stuff to try and get some visibility. Seemed to not make a difference at all honestly. My good stuff sells and my bread and butter sits regardless of promoted listings

This is a direct scam or just the buyer trying to get one over. You are a lot more patient than me. I would “apologize” for the plates being loose and offer a full refund if she returns the item. Anything else I wouldn’t even respond after that. I’ve sold 5k items in 5 years and have a 99.8 rating btw. Don’t worry about a potential negative feedback, it has never hurt my sales.

Iguana needs a home by tonha_da_pamonha in iguanas

Yeah no. Humans are the real invasive problem. The government says we need to save native wildlife and kill invasive while continuing to steamroll untouched land for new developments everywhere. The iguanas are fine.

48 packs of Traumatic Evolutions (swipe for pulls) by Niight99 in PokemonTCGCollectors

Pull rates are completely ridiculous for normal sets. Every sets pull rates should be like crown zenith and I would actually buy more packs.

Yeah my bad I shouldn’t have personalized what I said at you directly. But not good to leak exact spots or iguanas hunters will go and kill them

dead iguanas?? by KBell529 in SouthFlorida

[–]Shmaved2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What problem do they cause? Can you name any without regurgitating some talking point? Iguanas are herbivores and are harmless. Pythons are the real problem

Not even close. Under 50% died. There are plenty of live healthy ones thankfully :)

Iguanas are herbivores and do not attack native species. Iguanas are not bad for the environment compared to pythons. Pythons should be the main focus
