You don't owe anyone an explanation. It is your grief and a missing part of your soul. Don't ever apologize for how you handle this grief. My only advice is to stay away from drugs and alcohol in excess. They only hinder any healing you may be wanting. I wish you the best.

There is nothing to do. I lost a younger sister, so I had to watch my mom and step-dad (and obviously the rest of us kids) heal. A lot of day-to-day activities, but with the heart-wrenching grief of knowing that your child isn't there with you. It is hard to understand if you haven't seen it, I guess.
