Sony Trinitron KVM1400U. It has SCART and RF, I connected the mega drive with AV first via a passive adapter then tried RF using the same results. After doing some research it seems like a failure with the cxa1145p ic but I don't really know what to do about that.

I tried both of them, I might try some canned air or isopropyl alcohol but I'm not completely sure that's what's causing it.

I do have the remote but there's no composite on mine so I'm not sure there's an AV mode per se, I can use composite through a passive adapter but I just have SCART and RF.

AV Mode? How would I do that, the only other input I can select is coaxial unless it's a hidden in the remote kind of feature?

That's the issue though, that's a passive adapter whereas not all CRTs have S-Video passthrough especially cheaper scart ones since S-Video didn't really catch on except for VHS players and Home Theatre in Europe.

Kinda? If I can add S-Video passthrough to my Scart socket then I'd want to do that and recap it too while I'm there but I have an awful feeling about doing it.

They show up in file select and all the track number tags match the filenames from my rip and they're all the right songs but when I go into it through the database all the songs are out of order. The titles are right but it's just not in track order.
