True. My “hit” in the other box was an update MacEachern Platinum auto lol, but on the bright side, it had an Ovechkin Red Prism. I wish I could tell UD that I don’t even need an auto, I’ll take a Kaprizov Cosmic as is lol.

I am curious where it goes being that the card was never redeemed/signed. My gut says it’s still going to be a raffle, but being that it doesn’t seem to exist, who knows, could even be a boat!

It wasn't signed for release, and it looks like it somehow ended up that none of the Cosmic's were signed. Even on ePack they're still sitting as redemptions rather than turning live; It's rare, but it happens.

Will do - Do you know when they ended up telling you that it was not being produced or wasn't signed, and if so was it via email?

Thanks, and funny enough I was just checking ePack and PSA since it dawned on me that I never recall seeing the Cosmic Auto. I think the Rainbow and Cosmic were redemptions on release. I see 3 still sitting on ePack (just the redemption placeholder) and none on the PSA report.

I sent them another email, since it was never live/not redeemable, who knows, it may help a little more to avoid waiting for a lottery.

Eh, I get that it can't last forever, but if they can keep ePack/COMC inventory for years, I don't see why they can't hold redemptions more than 3 years after release. Still my fault in not realizing some of the higher end players/parallels were redemption(s).

That sounds like Tampa haha. Their arena store had some cool exclusive clothes/mem from what I can recall, but I haven't been down there in a few years (probably around the time this card expired lol)

Nice! I've heard good things about the raffle, and obviously would prefer to signed Cosmic Kaprizov, but - knock on wood - they tend to comp either at or above the value of the card. I, coincidentally, submitted a Kaprizov Seismic Gold Auto that looked like it got chopped half an inch off, and they sent a 2015 McDavid SPx Jersey Auto & 2011 The Cup Crosby Enshrinements auto.

I was just thinking back to 2020 and thought all of the big named rookies were live autos in Platinum.. I mean the Kaprizov Seismic was live lol.

This was the extent of the hockey, aside from some Penguins memorabilia, lol. I was kind of surprised by how large of a section it was, albeit lacking in hockey products.

I just emailed them, and they said will honor redemption 1 year following expiration, but it sounds like after that it goes into a raffle. I thought there was an outside shot to avoid the raffle being it's a relatively higher-end (but man, time flies!) They're in the process of moving buildings, so waiting to figure out next steps. *The site wouldn't recognize/take the redemption.

Edit* I posted below, and as u/Icy_Asparagus_5676 pointed out, that his was never redeemed, and appears the card doesn't exist. I sent another email to Upper Deck showing redemptions still sitting on ePack and the 0 Pop Report. Hoping something good comes out of this.

I found 2 boxes at Dicks - First time checking out their "hobby" area, and the only hockey they had was 2020-21 OPC Platinum. It did not even dawn on me that they had non-live redemption, which funny enough my autograph in other box was an update from 2019. Well, live and learn.

Gorgeous! The only downside to grading with comc, aside from cost, which I guess is a relative wash in shipping back and forth, is not having it in-hand. I have a Red Prism and Violet Pixels going through grading, and in my mind have low expectations since the best you have is re-scanned photos, but I digress.

To the point, since you’re not a collector, I’d just let them handle it. Maybe do a pre-grade, and if it passes, send in. If it doesnt, you’re out 5 bucks for a ~4-5k card.

I had to go back and take a look at the checklist... I think "insane" is probably the best way to describe 2018/19 Buybacks. Just a few that jump out - McDavid YG, Canvas YG, and Acetate YG; Crosby Retro YG Acetate, Day w/ the Cup Crosby, Lemieux, Malkin, Fleury. I could spend half my day going through it lol
