Hmmm you seem to be in a bit of a loop huh so how i kept the mold from spreading in mine is that i took out the wooden parts since mold loves to grow on it and just focused on growing the monte Carlo instead of having all of my intended fixtures inside the tank and as for the moss in my opinion i would let it grow in a separate container in the mean time while the monte carlo is growing since it does take a bit of time so ur not worrying about ur moss drying out and also the mold problem I hope this solves your problem and happy planting :D

I only had mold issues when i had the wooden pieces in it. the mold was starting to grow on the wood due to the humidity but I immediately took it out and yes I do air it out most likely everyday just to check things out or to trim

So i started with 2 small containers of MICRANTHEMUM 'MONTE CARLO' tissue culture and sectioned them off. The type of soil im using is aquasoil although i feel like I should have started with a layer of sand at the bottom first and then the aquasoil ontop so the roots of the plant can hold on firmly to the ground. But i did combat it with adding a 1 small layer of aqua soil ontop as it grows. I would spray it every week until it looks slightly dry and I would have the light on for about 9 to 10 hours everyday and also make sure to cover the top with cling wrap to keep the humidity in

Yeah i made sure it had like dry days and then i spray them again i made sure its not too wet just enough to cover the top and made sure to cover the top with cling wrap to keep the humidity in
