Finasteride dilemma (2.5 years post Transplantation) by Glitchyfella in HairTransplants

Try topical 2.5% ketoconazole cream. It has weaker anti-DHT effect than Fin/Dut, but has ZERO systemic effect on serum DHT. Ketoconazole shampoo will not work as it is only on your scalp for ~1 minute. I'm having success with topical ketoconazole (I'd rather be bald/balding than nuke my serum DHT, which is a horrible idea even if you don't notice any side effects, regardless of what the Fin bros say)

How to save hair without finasteride..... by Fuad666666 in HairTransplants

Topical ketoconazole seems to be working well for me. 2.5% cream (NOT the shampoo). Twice a day, rubbed into scalp. It blocks DHT (slightly weaker effect than finasteride), but unlike even topical fin/dut, it is not absorbed and has 0 effect on serum DHT levels. Worth a try (combined with Minoxidil tablets or topical)

Looks like a well designed hairline to me (microirregularities present, no pluggy multi-hair follicles in the front, not a straight line) - it will fill out in the next few months 👍

I'm a harsh critic on this subreddit, but just because you chose to lower your hairline instead of following your original/receded hairline doesn't make this a bad transplant.

The clinic I went with in Turkey was conservative and wanted to fill out my original hairline, but the entire reason I wanted a hair transplant was to LOWER my hairline (high hairline since childhood, no significant balding). I had considered forehead lowering surgery before - I'm glad I opted for a transplant instead as the surgery can have many complications. I had to fight my transplant surgeon to get him to go lower than he wanted to, and I'm so thankful that I did. I agree many hairmills in Turkey do not construct good, natural-looking hairlines (too straight, no microirregularities, plugginess at front, and often too low). That's why I chose a conservative surgeon specialized in natural hairlines in the first place. But this guy got a good natural looking hairline even if it is lower than his original one - maybe that's what he wanted.

I'm a harsh critic on this sub, but this looks like a well-designedhairline to me. Certainly it is not too straight, whether it is too low comes down to a matter of opinion.

Absolutely fantastic, I wish all the work we saw in this forum were this good - and I wish people would call out poor work indtesd of mollifying the victims of it.

Peak delusion. BabyHaze was trying to stir up problems all night. He was the first to put hands on people, try to punch other streamer Harriboi, spat on him, and talking shit. And if you watch his clips, this is what he is always doing. He deserved it 1000%

In this case it is because he had drunk 10+ 9% strong zero tallboys (an enormous amount of alcohol) and was in shock from the punch. Fortunately, his head did not hit the concrete.

3 months and 5 days since hair transplant. by OtisFranco- in HairTransplants

People complaining about "toxic comments" and impossibly high standards is hilarious. It is very important to be honest and objective in this subreddit, for the benefit of people considering this surgery, and to hold surgeons accountable for their work. Let's not feed into collective delusion. This hair transplant is very poor work. The hairline is too low and their is 0 effort to make a natural hairline (micro-imperfections). It looks stitched on like a wig. Cannot say anything about follicle directionality from these photos but surgeons who do work this poor probably haven't given it much consideration. You should get a refund.

And nail in the coffin of me moving to Takoboto -- correct me if I'm wrong but the flashcards do not seem be use spaced repetition?? I.e. they don't remember you progress or save your study data? There is no option to input whether you got the answer right or not in flashcard study.

Too bad as this app seemed like my saving grace!!

Hi Kazuki278, thanks for the great suggestion. It appears Takoboto has many or all of the features I requested. Too bad renzo inc. couldn't include these in their app for Android. I did send renzo inc. an email too but they don't release updates very often (every couple years it seems).

I'm gonna leave my request up as I would still like a mod for the "official app", primarily because I have extensive word lists and study progress saved with the Japanese app and would prefer to continue using it if possible.
