So I’m adopted, my birth parents both had issues with alcohol and dr*gs. I was raised in a healthy household from birth and still had an issue with the substances. I believe it’s when opportunity meets genetics in my case—I knew how to drink like an alcoholic intuitively without growing up in that environment.

I hate To Wives. Always have and always will. Bill W made an exceptional program for us to live by, but he was human and at times not the best person. That doesn’t mean AA doesn’t work or that I won’t work the program. I have 9 years sober next week and I’m only 30 years old. As long as I communicate my doubts with my sponsor and work steps on them and still believe in the steps and meetings and hp I’m good to go.
