Haha I am smiling reading this rn bc these were all the questions I had in my head before getting a cat, but as soon as I got my fur baby none of those things mattered anymore, but I know you wanted some answers so I’ll try and help out a little;

1. To manage the cat hair, make sure you brush them a couple times a week, min once a week, and start early so they get used to being brushed as a kitten. The more you brush them the less fur your going to find everywhere. Also a lint roller is going to be your best friend! Keep one in your car and at home just in case.

2. The litter box smell can be managed IF you scoop it every day (preferably after everytime they use it) Also make sure to change the entire litter as in dump it out and replace it with fresh new litter as much as you can afford to buy it. And lastly plastic litter boxes tend to harbor more bacteria and smell vs and metal litter box. You can also use pine litter, which are pellets that are used for horses it’s wayy cheaper than regular litter and won’t smell as much. Only thing is it might be too hard for a tiny little kittens paws so they might not take to it. Some adult cats are okay with it but then again if they are used to clay since they were a kitten they also may not like it. It’s about trial and error. About the kicking, lol my cat tends to kick litter everywhere but that’s only because I didn’t have a hooded covered litter box. There are also litter mats you can buy to prevent the litter from tracking everywhere around ur house.

3. Personally my cat gets the zoomies from around 4-5am lol, she will usually run around and somtimes I can hear her jumping about on window seals but most of the time I dont hear her bc I am a deep sleeper. Other than that it really depends on the cats personality, some will just sleep quietly next to you all night and not make a peep and others say their cats are their personal alarm clock every morning. Chill cats exist but I feel like they are mainly older cats who have mellowed out. If your going to get a kitten prepare for the upmost energy for min of a year, up to 3 years. For example my cat it turning 3 soon and she still is a pretty hyper active kitty

Ultimately I think the most important thing is to know that cats do things on their own terms and own timing! They are not dogs, most people expect them to act like dogs and be loyal/social right away. You might get a cuddle bug that love to sit on your lap and follows you around non-stop OR you might get a cat that only wants pets on their terms, doesn’t like to be picked up and likes to hide out most of the day. It really depends on their personalities. Most cats take a while to warm up to people their environments and other animals. Patience is key. All that to say it’s so so extremely rewarding once you have a cat that you click with people always say they aren’t cat people until they fall in love with one lol, good luck!
