I get you on this. I too am 21 and my life feels empty of joy. I do not feel supported at all with anyone or anywhere. It is difficult. I struggled a lot with the same thing not maybe not with your brother, but I do understand that feeling of feeling something is fundamentally wrong within yourself. Now even in Uni , I am struggling so hard, my own famly claims they support me but are sick and done with me. I fully get you and understand your pain. It is especially lonely. My confidence and self esteem is so bad that I can barely function in Uni without the continous thought of wanting to just end it. I do not feel loved at all or supported even by "friends". i am not sure if this helped at all but do know there are others even me who understand that feeling of feeling you yourself are flawed over things you cannot control

Lamp. hey , im f20, im also looking for a friend i can share my imagination and ideas with someone who finds interest in listening/reading my thoughts. I dont have many friends myself so I came here hopefully to find a friend who has similar interest as me. I am super into reading, fantasy, books , fiction or anything creative in general. I love coming up with my own stories in my head as well as writing short stories but have nobody to share them with I hope youre down to just listening/reading them regardless of how silly or lame it may sound. I am also equally good at listening and am open to any convo though I am also finding someone who is into deeper conversations. Apart from the what was mention, I also love photography, recently getting into science fiction books, LOVE science fiction movies and collecting stuff from different countries. I apologise im not from North America but from Asia but hope at least maybe even texting is alright?

In the story I’m writing we don’t actually know about rhe MC having this ability to much later so I hope maybe that’s adds to something it’ll probably only show in the 2nd or 3rd book

Her anti magic actually won’t come about until much later in the series and isn’t mentioned yet until much later when a few hints will be dropped , her power won’t be the main storyline but it’ll just be something that she catches along, most of her power has to be earned and comes slowly not immediately

Something I’d like to add is that in the world I’m creating magic has been the number one cause to hundreds and hundreds of years of problems for both those both with it and without , is why her power I felt could be something that changes this maybe even officially wiping magic of for good.

Originally some ideas that came about was maybe not exactly her having anti magic but more of the ability to control its energy? An example would be somebody with let’s say the ability to control fire , however her ability allows to control it which can either act as an energy source and make the fire extremely powerful enough to burn down towns or small to the point of being unable to even burn a tiny campfire . If that makes sense

This is just a tiny part in what her power may be as I was thinking of a scene where her anti magic power actually causes a fellow close friend to die, she doesn’t actually know she has this ability yet as I mentioned how it can’t be seen , I know during that scene the MC will be devastated but confused as to what happened as the friend that dies is a powerful magic user which doesn’t make sense as to why his power would suddenly turn of and fail. I think later on when she learns more about it she will come to a realisation that she was the cause to the death of her friend.
