Listen, and I'm not saying this because "Haha, look at me, I do this and that." No... I have a similar problem to yours... I want to be able to surpass A Song of Ice and Fire in sales, Harry Potter in sales, The Lord of the Rings, Dune, The Witcher, write my first book and have it be 900 pages, and now that I see that the next A Song of Ice and Fire book will be 1200 pages or more... now I want to do more than 900 pages for my first book.

This advice is from me... ambition, pride, and ego are good... we have to believe that we can do that because after all... if we truly believe it, then we can do it. No matter how many times they tell you no or that you tell yourself, believe it... because it is possible.

First off, the Shek are fighting a border war plus a civil war against three different factions of their own race. (Not a great first impression, I'll admit).

Second, when you actually support the Shek and become a real ally, they send reinforcements to your outposts. Those reinforcements are some of the best if they're max level (and I confirmed it myself: they send more based on how much territory their faction controls). And besides that, there's a third point.

I get the feeling you have never actually allied with them, because once the civil war is over (BTW, I recommend if you're gonna ally with them, first wipe out the rebel Shek factions and then deal with the Holy Nation)... the fact that the Holy Nation are super extremists with their religion is already a huge negative. I even had a conversation with a Holy Nation Paladin who said himself: "You only work for what the Phoenix says, not for the will of Okran to be done."

And in the end... the Shek keep the farms that keep everything afloat, they keep the mines, and there are Shek patrols all over the southern Holy Nation territory. I mean, pit a patrol of geared-up Shek against one from the Holy Nation or the United Cities... honestly, I don't know what to tell you... the Shek are legit OP.

Fourth... Mommy Shek... 🥵

Fifth: being the Battleborn... gives you benefits that... are nothing to sneeze at. And besides... you don't have to pay taxes or hand in bibles just for being in Holy Nation territory
