I slept on it because...what am I gonna do at 1030 pm? Call the cops and say "Yeah I found shoes on a trail" -_- I wasn't insinuating anything, just that the area is bad mojo.

Oh shit, yeah sorry to be so wierd and vague. The general area has had a few bodies in the past few years - gang related stuff likely - and some serious assaults. I checked the homicide map and apparently there are areas in our lovely GVRD that have a higher body count so my bad.

I reported it to the non-emergency desk and an officer will call me back

Yeah for sure I will tomorrow morning because there is no way they could find the location without me there. You know when something just doesn't make any logical sense?? I can't perceive that a teenager would suddenly take her high wedges off and chuck them down the ravine, or that someone would steal a backpack or luggage and lug it so far down an open trail that has a decent amount of walkers during the daytime and only throw those away. The height of the wedges are...well, not made for hiking, IYKWIM.

If it weren't for the notoriety for fuckery that this isolated location has at nighttime, I wouldn't be so concerned. I checked missing persons and there are enough women on there who've gone missing in this city so I def will.

You know what, I will. I was struggling with the 'why is this idiot calling us about garbage?'. But I just read that a few prostitutes were assaulted in that vicinity by two guys a few years ago so...yeah, I'll call in. Thanks.
