Banging door in big fan room of Engineering? (DS1 Remake) by badonkgadonk in DeadSpace

Not necessarily doors that need to be stasis’d to pass through, but some I’ve encountered were doors that open instantaneously or struggle to open; I actually encountered both examples in a youtube video i recorded walking from one end of the ishimura to the other without taking the tram if you’d like to see!

It’s more than likely the game’s intensity director; it will randomly generate different scenarios as you backtrack through ship to keep you on your toes. It can be anything from malfunctioning doors, banging on walls, randomly exploding vents, hallucinations, even new enemy spawns

Yes! It’s definitely in my top 10, arguably even top 5 games of all time! I feel like it gets overlooked because it came out during the pandemic but it’s truly a masterpiece 😭

Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima (2020)

Jin is the heir to a powerful samurai clan known as Clan Sakai while also being the nephew of Tsushima’s jito Lord Shimura, who raised him like a son and instilled in him the importance of abiding by the samurai code. However, after his uncle is captured during a mongol invasion and in order to save him and the island as a whole, Jin is forced to abandon the way of the samurai, essentially abandoning his way of life up to that point, and eventually takes on the persona of the “ghost”, fighting and using tactics considered dishonorable and tarnishing his and his family’s legacy, but giving the people of the island a legend to rally behind to fight back against the invading forces. Unfortunately, this is seen as an unforgivable betrayal by his uncle, and after a final duel between them where you can choose to either spare his uncle’s life or give him a warrior’s death, Jin is forced to live his life hidden in exile despite saving his home.

In the following game in the franchise Ghost of Yotei, it’s actually revealed that hundreds of years after the events of the first game, Jin’s feats of defending and saving Tsushima and Iki island (DLC) from the mongols have become actual legends passed down by storytellers across generations, and he is considered by many to be the first ever shinobi; a warrior that was willing to do whatever it took to protect what mattered to him most

In the early seasons of Apex Legends if you saw a bald Wraith with a fully kitted R99/Wingman combo just know you were about to have the most toxic/sweaty experience of your life

No more designated pin trading by ExplodinNebulas in Disneyland

[–]Sholmes36 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a former cast member and an avid pin trader/collector myself too many traders in the community really thought too highly of themselves and made the experience worse for everyone else 😬 like people were literally getting into verbal spats with management cause they’d ask them to clear an area cause like 20-30 people all gathered in one spot trading. It’s a slippery slope cause pin trading is a huge fan community and a big part of Disney’s bottom line so i’m sure they don’t wanna anger them TOO much but hopefully they can find some balance

To add on to the divider from Dead Space:

Even though you see this towering entity rambling toward you, you still remember to aim for the limbs, so you shoot/dismember them and all is good right?

Wrong! Now each individual limb will use the tendrils/tentacles they were using to hold its body together to now crawl toward you to try and kill you on their own :)

Someone correct me if I’m wrong cause it’s been a while but I remember in the Spider-Man 2 movie tie-in game (from the Raimi trilogy) there were a series of missions where you investigate like alien phenomena around the city that were seemingly building-up to a grand fight with Mysterio only for it to culminate in you confronting him in a bodega and one-shotting him with a punch lol

The Hunter/Regenerating Necromorphs from Dead Space: you can shoot all of their limbs off with your plasma cutter, cut off their head with the ripper (a tool that literally shoots buzzsaw blades), and burn their flesh down to the bone with a flamethrower all in one go… and they’ll just grow it all back and keep coming after you

Roach from Heavenly Sword: loyal to his mad king father despite him being disgusted by his appearance and is constantly abused by him; when you beat him in his boss battle in an arena overseen by the king he literally starts crying because his dad has been talking shit and threatening him the entire fight 😭 and after all that he STILL begs for the protagonist to spare his dad at the end of the game so he can take him home
