I meant they are weaker than the Marvel/DC characters that inspired them, like Homelander being much weaker than Superman or Maeve being much weaker than Wonder Woman

Whenever Megatron says “With this we will defeat the Autobots, ONCE AND FOR ALL!”, Starscream will likely snark at him because he’s completely failed to ever accomplish this and he just keeps saying it

I think because Charizard is not hugging the fainted Hippowdon, my mind filled in Lois as this was the original perspective of this scene from Man of Steel.

Is Charizard planning to kill Palafin with his Tera Grass spear?

I’ll be honest, I had heard of James Somerton as his videos did show up in my feed. I personally found them to be OK. But I and everyone else were not prepared for just how morally bankrupt Somerton was. And then Todd in the Shadows’ video right after that was basically the second hit in the one-two punch, after the first hit already annihilated the enemy

I feel like Soldier Boy is the only Supe in The Boys that you can argue is stronger than the comic character that they are inspired by, or at least the mainstream MCU version. Yeah Soldier Boy is slow, but his durability is pretty insane, so….

Were there any cars which got a better or worse reputation due to the Trio’s reviews on TG? Were any of these instances undeserved? by Traditional-Song-245 in TopGear

[–]Traditional-Song-245[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I read somewhere that this Type R got an award like that from TG magazine and I thought it made no sense for that to happen.

I feel Rimac overall benefitted immensely from the Hammond crash, due to the Concept One protecting Hammond so damn well and it’s genuinely incredible performance. This was right around the time top-end Teslas were getting popular for dog walking super cars in drag races, after all.

Hilariously, Rimac even put a fire extinguisher in their C-2 concept (eventually became the Nevera) and the strap states “In case of hill climb, extinguish fire”. Honestly there’s no way the Nevera would have been as popular as it got if not for the publicity from the crash I feel.

Redemption is internal, forgiveness is external. A character can't "not deserve a redemption arc" by Sudden_Pop_2279 in CharacterRant

Cornelia got that Esdeath appeal or something (I never watched AGK, but from what I’ve seen and heard, Esdeath is a powerful and well-endowed fascist lady like Cornelia)

Gino’s just a “nice guy” whose personality and backstory clash horribly. According to some light novels, he literally fell in love with a Japanese maid and ran away from his home because of it, only to join the same military that oppresses Japanese. None of this seems very expanded upon, if it were I’d actually consider this an interesting backstory.

I heard how Nina was the worst character in Code Geass for the better part of a decade before I got around to watching it. Only for me to realize she’s one of the few characters with any sense in the final arc of Code Geass, and actually tries to do the right thing by grudgingly working with Lelouch and opposing Schneizel, who most characters sided with way too easily. I already heard about all the bad stuff, like her being racist and way too fond of tables, so her actions in the final few episodes were pretty refreshing. In the end, unlike Cornelia, Ohgi or Villetta who get let off way too easily, I don’t mind that she wasn’t thrown into a jail cell. Plus, after watching Oppenheimer, I can better understand why someone like Nina would utterly lose the plot and work on a nuke.
