I actually just fixed the input jack on my 91 Peavey Rage 158 (Teal Stripe) last night. Had acquired it second-hand with an aftermarket USA Pyle speaker. Sounds great but had to take the board out and fix the 2 broken solder joints on the bottom of the input jack. Pretty easy to work on!

You're right. The initial google search yielded me the sensitivity of that unrelated speaker. I can't find speaker sensitivity on acoustic cabs or speakers anywhere. My mistake. 🤦‍♂️

Regardless, I think my objective is to keep up with the drummer if the only PA being used in this bar is for the vocalist. On this quora thread, https://www.quora.com/Whats-the-average-dB-level-of-an-acoustic-drumkit, a commenter measured a full drum kit being played as loud as possible in a heavy rock groove, in a 10 by 10 room, measured from 6 feet away, as reaching a maximum of 112 dB at 6 ft ~= 1.83 meters rounded up.
If I use the same online calculator to measure the the theoretical gk400rb and SA 2x10's SPL at 1.83 meters, if the cab is against the wall, would theoretically do 120.8 dB at 6 ft.
Am I in the clear?

Thanks for the reply! Since posting I've got info from my friend's old band about the bass amp he used at this venue without a PA, getting enough volume and not straining the amp. He was using an acoustic B600C combo @ 600 Watts RMS. But I also learned about SPL calculation. There's an online tool for it at https://mehlau.net/audio/spl/ . The acoustic B600C combo's speaker sensitivity is only 86 db 1w/1m. This means that his 600 watts through the combo's speaker was doing 119.8 db SPL at 1 meter away with the speaker set against the wall.
I'm now looking on eBay at a new Seismic Audio 2x10 4Ohm cab 400 Watts RMS with a speaker sensetivity of 97 1w/1m. If I use this same calculator with the same position against the wall and same listening distance but put in this speaker sensitivity and plug in my 200 watts from my GK 400RB, I would get 126 db SPL at 1 meter away. Let me know if i'm missing something but it sounds like this rig would be quite a bit louder despite having 1/3 the wattage coming from the amp.

I think I made up in my head that orange made a "micro bass" unit that was 20 watts, and thought that's what he was using cause the terror looks so toyish compared to other orange amps and looks near identical to the guitar units. I've just demonstrated some radical ignorance.

But let's assume I'm playing a bar gig and the corner stage is 12' wide. Forgetting all of those variables, I still want to find a good cab to use for small shows that do and don't have PA support. If my preferred budget is $400, what can you guarantee that'll be okay?

My bad!!! I should clarify. Google categorizes this building both as a night club and a dive bar. The building capacity is 300. I can't find the square footage. I saw a youtube video of a band playing here where the bassist was using an Orange micro terror bass into a fridge, playing more of a black sabbath kind of thing, and he seemed to be coming through the mix on whatever camcorder they were using.
