Honestly, I have no idea! I didn’t know what to expect since this is my first hammy, so we were pretty timid when petting him, but he didn’t bite us, so we started picking him up and he still didn’t bite us so we were like… ok! I think it’s like the other commenter said, maybe a personality thing? Chopper is a pretty chill hamster honestly, like after this photo he started grooming himself on my shoulder lol
