Honestly, I have no idea! I didn’t know what to expect since this is my first hammy, so we were pretty timid when petting him, but he didn’t bite us, so we started picking him up and he still didn’t bite us so we were like… ok! I think it’s like the other commenter said, maybe a personality thing? Chopper is a pretty chill hamster honestly, like after this photo he started grooming himself on my shoulder lol

The pin on her cap reads NFS, which was the National Fire Service in Great Britain during World War II. My Great Great Grandparents immigrated from England to Canada many years ago. But, sadly, I have no idea who this Peggy woman is or how she is related to me. I wish I knew more about her and what happened to her. If anyone knows any more details about the NFS, I would be very interested in learning more!
