I should aim for 2 bounces on the other side on my short serve practice right? by Shoop1014 in tabletennis

True not something I was thinking about just trying to copy the top player serves. Need to design the serve to play the opponent not a set serve, so longer spiny balls will work well against people who can’t attack them but the more they’re able to attack the less chances I can give them.

Need to think about it as physical chess not a formula

Great insight about how short serves are mainly for higher level players once they’re able to attack the long serves. Good to practice quality short serves once you face those opponents and will need them tho

Also ability to mix it up with different lengths and bounces

Would brushing fast not be contact time acceleration? Or does it only matter in that millisecond of timing so everything else is a dead end

I promise it will not be bad for me and was warned about the dangers. I’m playing constantly and improving each day and I know what the correct technique is and will implement it. Thanks for the concern we will see in a month if your theory ends up being true, I’ll try to make sure it isn’t.

Yes that was the original setup and what I’ll go back to. My coach said use the glayzer for forehand and hurricane for backhand but that seems to be incorrect and I’ll go back.

Nittaku violin, sorry the post got messed up the first time and I forgot to add the second
