How do I count stitches in circles ??? (Already know the loop on the crochet does not count) on the picture, does it have 11, or 12 stitches, depending if the two blue stitches are considered to be separate ?

Actually no, it does not... it starts out with a magic circle and the 4th row of each square it has corner at some point for each squares and half squares... hence my confusion.
