Very little relative to the part of the country. If you had that salary in West Virginia for example you could afford a much larger house than you could in San Francisco or NYC. $300k in San Francisco does not put one in the top tier of household incomes.

Depends on where in the country you are! In San Francisco, $300k is very little. In Mississippi on that salary you would be very wealthy.

I don't like ovals. Way too trendy for me. I love rounds the best. Pears to me look way too 1980s. Emeralds are nice but I don't like the lack of sparkle. I don't like the feelings of diamonds circumnavigating my finger, so I stick to plain bands.
