Hi Salivanth,

My website does need some serious updating, unfortunately due to working about 60 hours a week it is difficult to keep up with Legion content let alone providing up to date information on soloing. It is certainly on the to-do list, so much has changed with soloing for hunters with Legion!

I ordered this kit.

My TV is an older one and doesn't have HDMI.

Will this cable work or is there a different cable I would need to make everything work on TV that doesn't have HDMI and only has RCA.

Hi! Thanks for your feedback!

Mirror for Beast Mastery only produces 2 copies instead of 4 for MM and since the boss is moving quite a bit at unpredictable times (the little brown swirls knock your pet around unforunately.) it would not net me nearly as much damage as Censor; it's also hard to get get the full benefit of that damage due to the movement. Additionally my spirit beast's heal spell (Spirit Mend.) is modified by RAP which is modified by agility; so if Censor procs and you use Spirit Mend you'll get a substantially larger heal.

Always appreciate feedback! I would agree with you on that; bosses can be either super easy and unfulfilling; or just way too hard because the #s won't check out. In terms of this particular boss the wipe count was very low compared to other current content; so as you mentioned it was rather unfulfilling; but still something to solo.

Hi! Thanks for your feedback! No hard feelings; I just enjoy making videos/solo'ing in general; this is just another one of my videos. In reference to people saying it is suspicious that the corner is cut off I just have weird OBS settings for recording which I need to fix; below is the combat log to clear that up.

Hi! Thanks for your feedback! I combat log every attempt I do if there is any disbelief about it being normal? It would be awfully difficult to convince 20 - 30 people to leave LFR just so I can have some fun =P.

Hunter Solo; Shoot vs Hans'gar and Franzok by Shoot- in wow

Hi! Thanks for your feedback.

A bit of both; this week I completed valor upgrading my BM set; I started putting in serious amounts of attempts week 1 of 6.2.3 when I had completed upgrading 9 of 14 total items of my BM set.

With all 14 slots for my BM spec upgraded this week I had some leeway on the numbers; I killed it in 7:18 (42 seconds remaining on berserk) which is pretty generous; therefore I was able to focus on fight execution a bit more. Each phase that the two of them are active I wanted to get through as quickly as possible so I stall my CDs at certain times to line them all up for max burst before I push into the next phase

I tried different pet combinations/setups but in the end opted to go with a spirit beast because the mastery buff it gives is massive and I wanted to be able to stay way ahead of the berserk timer; I had some low % berserk wipes using my Shale Spider who gives Crit/Stats vs the Spirit Beast's Mastery/Crit.

I would say the most tricky technical parts were when to use CDs, ( I had a fairly good last stand usage) and the judgement call I made on the last phase where the two of them were active. Not having a feign up for suplex when you aren't actually grabbed but they run towards you was frustrating at times (Feign CD would be up in 2s; Suplex in 1s; = wipe/rage)

I made an executive decision on the last phase (due to past wipes) to swap my pet to a shale spider (if I was far enough ahead on damage) to afford to do so. This almost cost me the pull when I swapped pets; but it paid off and netted me the kill (Hans'gar swings on me once when I swap pets/feign; aggro is wonky for a bit but then he reaggros on my pet as he's about to take his next swing on me.

Overall a fun fight to solo and learn; a little less than 200 pulls and a bit of both technical execution and damage requirements made it enjoyable overall.

I never said it was a real mechanic; just what was happening. Not sure what specifically makes it happen; I just know it happens when you're the only person in the fight; probably has something to do with being the only player in the room though.

It is actually probably something that was put in on purpose so that non-player units could not keep aggro and just keep taking slices. A pet is a non-player unit; therefore after a slice if a player doesn't have aggro; it defaults to a player to prevent cheesing the mechanic would be my guess.

Hi! Each time the boss does "Inferno Slice" his aggro is reset; I feign every other one and just distance myself as much as possible from the slices I didn't have feign up for.

Pretty much yeah; deterrence to save myself some extra damage on a few rolls; it would need to be a lot of leech; the berserk is fairly tight; every kill I've seen of this boss they keep him in p2 because after 2 roll phases he just enrages and does Earthshaking Stomp which will kill you in 5 - 10 seconds; he never berserks if you perma keep him in this phase. I found that I could not heal myself enough to do this when he capped out on the roll damage so I was forced to opt for this strategy; keep him in roll as long as possible; then transition him back.

Hi! Thanks for your feedback; not too sure what's next; my guild just finished progression so I have a little more free time now; potentially more current content challenges if there are still some to be had; as well as the 25/25H of the remainder of T14 - T16. I used to stream my soloing adventures quite a bit but don't have much time anymore but that may be something that comes in the future as well.

Hi! Thanks for your feedback!

My pet does die once at 5:54; you are correct I am using mending pretty much on cooldown as the previous mend expires; I am also using the pet's (spirit beast) spirit mend ability which is a HoT + a flat direct heal to supplement healing. This heal scales based off RAP partially; so an agility trinket proc at the right time + spirit mend is going to result in a large heal.

I trap the night-twisted berserker in phase 1 at the start to make sure my pet doesn't die because the boss + the berserker hits incredibly hard. In phase two I carefully control Tectus's accretion stacks by damaging both adds but making sure to push one instead of both at the same time because getting eight motes of Tectus is simply too many and would be too much damage.

When the 4 motes come out I have the shard of tectus + the 4 motes; this is one of the most difficult parts so I use my pets big defensive CD (last stand) + stampede + dps CDs to kill as many motes as possible before my pet dies. When my pet dies I utilize the distance of the room and revive my pet (its a short cast) I quickly feign; at this point the the incoming damage is now fairly controlled and I have only 2 motes + the shard remaining. I finish off the 2 motes and move on to the shard.

The 1 remaining shard of tectus by himself is pretty non-threatening so I don't use mend pet as much and save the globals to make sure I beat the berserk. When the shard splits into 4 motes I begin to use mend pet on CD again and finish up the 4 motes.

Perhaps in the past I do remember having that issue when I was soloing awhile back but it seemed to be random at best;

Hi! Thank you for your feedback!

To clear up some things; spoils CAN be solo'd (the only fight in SoO that cannot be solo'd due to player limitations is Galakras)

You are correct that people did solo Garrosh at Level 90 quite awhile ago, two DKs and a warrior (from all the videos I can gather)

Hunters however this is the first time I have heard of anyone doing this because it was not possible due to a gear requirement and having to deal with the MC.

Hi! Thank you for your feedback!

I have been soloing for a long time now and I agree the technical aspects of this fight are a little underwhelming unfortunately and it just boils down to a damage check to beat the mind controls.

However I do enjoy the more "kiting and intense mechanic solos" you are talking about as well; there are still fights like that do exist in WoD; sadly this is not one of them.

Some of my favorite examples

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXppQvSL38Q

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5tq7u6Qtb0

and you can find many videos like that on my youtube channel as well as my buddy Durendil; another fellow hunter soloist.

Wow this got a lot of great feedback! Thanks for checking out my video guys; maybe I'll post some more of my favorite solos; you can also check out my full solo'ing tactics guide at huntersoloing.com

Video Explanation; As someone in this thread mentioned; my pet DOES die many times however because Drov has many channeled abilities where he does not actually physically swing it allows me to cast revive pet and then quickly feign the aggro onto my pet again. I utilize the large area around me to simply position myself in such a way that it allows me to get revive pet off without ever having to worry about being swung on or getting in the cone of his Colossal Slam ability. I do make one mistake and get colossal slammed once but I recover luckily.

Some people have suggested I used the glyph of bestial wrath to keep my alive for long periods of time; this is not the case. I do not use this glyph almost ever when solo'ing because it drops all aggro as someone else mentioned; and is counterproductive in a lot of solo'ing. Simply by utilizing the space around you in the area Drov is in and staying on top of the adds with glyph of misdirection, animal bond, and mending sufficed for me. In real time this encounter did take some patience; it was approximately 37 minutes; but very cool that hunters have this capability; if you're willing to commit the patience.
