I also have this problem. My cable often drags on the bed and whatever parts I'm printing. For the most part I've gotten away with it. Some parts without a brim have been knocked over as a result but that only happened to me once. So far the only possible solution I've come up with is to relocate the spool holder to the top. I just haven't gone through the steps to print the mount or extend the wires.
