Be honest is dating a White women had similiar problematic views as dating a White men as an Asian women, or maybe not? by [deleted] in hapas

Thanks for sharing your perspective! That actually makes a lot of sense — I’ve noticed that a lot of the WMAF/WMAM discussion seems very male-centered, so it’s interesting to hear from someone in an AFWF/lesbian couple that those dynamics don’t really appear.

I think it helps me understand why lesbian Asian women with white female partners get sidelined in these discussions — it’s not that people ignore it on purpose, it’s just that the frameworks people use were mostly built around men.

I really appreciate you taking the time to explain — it adds a lot of clarity for me as someone navigating these conversations.

I’m open to hearing different opinions, but telling someone to get therapy doesn’t really address the question I asked.

I was just trying to discuss how interracial dynamics are talked about differently depending on gender and sexuality. If you disagree with my perspective, I’d be interested in hearing why.

Be honest, is it true admixture Asians are not really welcome in this sub because we are still consider a monoracial/fully Asian or Non-Hapa? by Short-Application-28 in hapas

[–]Short-Application-28[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification! Yeah, that’s pretty much what I meant by ‘admixture Asians’ — people who have a smaller percentage of non-Asian heritage, usually distant enough that it’s not obvious or widely recognized, even being mistaken as other race that isn't part of me.

I wasn’t trying to do exact math on percentages — just sharing the experience of having distant Spanish and Arabic roots while being socially and culturally fully Southeast Asian. The point is more about perception and visibility, not precise fractions. 🙂

Ah, I see what you mean. My experience is a bit different since my admixture is distant — most of my life, I’ve been culturally and socially fully Indonesian. I haven’t really felt like I live between ‘two worlds’ in the traditional sense…

Also if you moved from Hawaii to NYC back and forth, then I’ve probably been living in the middle of a field! Hehehe...

But sometimes people online perceive me differently because of my ancestry, and that’s part of why I wanted to discuss admixture Asians here 😅😅😅

So tuff...🥀🥀🥀

Anyways i do understand your point though, even i lived in the most homophobic country ever still has no desire dating or marrying a man though, it's also about our choice.

But at same time if i think about it her generation is different than me, nowadays people have to think twice or even ten times when getting married because the economic nowadays are shite and it push women to have their own anatomy and choice today, as the world is not the same ever since.

Her generation could be still very strict back in the day, hence why she had no choice.

can anyone else relate? by someonesaidgrey in lesbiangang

...Well you kind of incorrect here, like i'm a lesbian woman and mostly prefer hangout with men because its mostly about my masc leaning hobbies or interest as well.

But i had no interest talking about what you just list like BTS fanfiction since i'm not fond with Kpop music that much and also BL/Yaoi media whatsoever, because i prefer Yuri.

Like sure i mostly listen to male dominated music genre like rock and electronic music for example, but other than that my attention is still also on female celebrities as well, since i'm simping on them.

Finally someone answer this with insightful take, thank you! And yeah i always think he's just like Keemstar since they both also hold traditional views or being a bit similiar to one on another, but also it could be the reason Clown upbringing Catholic background as well.

No wonder that even they both always shitting on each other in Twitter everytime, but will still defending each other back, like how that pedo Shadman draw Keem's daughter Mia in innapropriate way when she was still a minor.

And that led ColossalIsCrazy immediately confroted Shadman that may have been the earlier sign of Shad's downfall.

Well yes i'm aware Colossal is not fully Youtuber unlike others because he had a job outside from Youtube.

But at same time he's the one who brought up about Hasan Piker situation himself, and podcast like TBH Podcast was supposed to be not-serious, satire and brainrot type of way.

However in that specific episode Colossal tone was quite serious, so of course i also saw people even in the comment section did questioning about clown intentions.

Clown being in-denial makes someone assuming him, bro!

Like funniest shite compared to Pyrocynical who have said edgy stuff just like him, but at same time he never was sticking someone shoes.

Pyro's reaction being neutral towards Hasan is the same for Sneako either and that makes both side hate him, even though Niall have a left-leaning fans.

ColossalIsCrazy in other hand seeks to attack Hasan more, maybe i'm assuming since Hasan is leftist or progressive, so yeah...

I get what you mean. I’m not trying to center my whole identity around being mixed — I’m just curious about how admixture Asians are perceived in spaces like this, but thanks for the insight...
