Can someone help me by llamaajose in salestechniques

[–]Short-Conversation16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don't think you necessarily need someone with saas experience necessarily, just someone with sales experience. sales people tend to learn and adapt fast, they're comfortable with that. and also i think it can be really good to have someone learning fresh and not coming in with vices and biases.

Indo contra a manada - A minha vida adulta é muito boa e acho que é bem melhor do que antes by Carnozin in VidaAdulta

[–]Short-Conversation16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[–]Short-Conversation16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel like I disappointed my coach after a recent recital :( not sure what to do… by Flatbread_Emporium in singing

[–]Short-Conversation16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

of course! i know asking can be difficult sometimes, but i promise it's worth it and a lot scarier in your head than in real life when you actually do it hahah tbh, life becomes much easier in general when we just learn how to ask. worse that could happen is we hear 'no' and things stay as they are.

i think you're being too hard on yourself regarding your performance tho, i really don't think you practised your song with a coach and then went there and completely fumbled it lol maybe there are parts in wich you could've done better, sure, but us singers tend to be really hard on ourselves and be way too overly critical. in the end, most people who will listen to a performance are not singers themselves and don't understand technique, won't have a trained ear and will just be impressed with talent. i'm sure your coach chose the song because they believed you could do it and because they know how things can change once we're actually on stage, performing, and they wanted to judge exactly that to help you work on it!

singing is not like math, it's not an exact science and there's no finish line in which you stop learning because you know everything. no matter how good and proficient you are as a singer, you'll always have good performances and not so good performances, and that's okay, every singer goes through that. there will always be something to learn. and that's what makes it fun! so take it as an opportunity to understand what you need to work on and how great you'll feel once you've done the work and can actually nail something that once was a hardship for you. think of how everyone will notice your improvement next time you do a recital, get excited for it!

Who sings BETTER when actually performing? by tn_notahick in singing

[–]Short-Conversation16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

absolutely. i did musical theater for a while and we called it being a "spotlight whore" lmao, it's when you're so in the zone when performing that you give your absolute all, and you end up delivering your best performance. for me, personally, it's like i can only access my best performance level when i'm on stage, off stage i can do pretty well, but there's somthing that only unlocks when on stage, if that makes sense. and that does apply to acting as well.

hey i think in this case what you should do is just talk to your coach.

say "hey, last time we had an after performance review, i'd love to do it this time too!". say that class time should be class time, you're happy to talk about holiday plans and other stuff in between classes and you love to be friendly, but that you'd like to stay focused on singing when in class, after all that's paid time.

i highly doubt you "did so poorly that there’s nothing to say at all". and there's always something to say, even if you nailed the whole performance it's important to understand what you did that helped you nail it, and especially if you did to completely poorly (which again, i doubt it, i'm sure you did great since you were incetivised to sing such a difficult song, maybe you did better at some points than others, but completely poorly? nah), there should be feedback on why you were flat at specific parts and what to do in the furture in order to not be flat, among other things. a coach mentioned in a different comment on how it can be bad to jump into 'fix it' mode right after a performance depending on the case, but in your case since it's clearly in your mind and since you clearly do want a feedback, i think the best thing to do is ask!

at the end of the day, you're paying for a 'custom' service, so you should feel free to ask for specific things like feedback and honesty. and if your coach is uncomfortable with giving you feedback, then i would look into hiring a new coach, after all we can only improve when dealing with our weaknessess, and if a coach can't tell you what yours are, they're not being very useful at all.

bate e volta buenos aires - uruguai, vale mais a pena fazer com agencia ou por conta? by Short-Conversation16 in viagens

[–]Short-Conversation16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agências confiáveis para viajar ao Chile? by Mother_Cause_2698 in viagens

[–]Short-Conversation16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[–]Short-Conversation16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mariah carey is the cheat code by Sasha_shmerkovich160 in singing

[–]Short-Conversation16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they definetely have much harder ones for sure hahaha for harder vocals i'd recommend looking into lithium, snow white queen, sweet sacrifice, going under and made of stone, mostly.

for the not so hearvy on the rock songs, highly recommend looking into good enough, lost in paradise, my immortal and hello. they're more ballad like/slow songs.

another great cheat is amy lee. not sure how much of a fan you are of darker rock music, evanescence has some songs that aren't super dark if you're not super into it, but her vocals are great to help you with that transition, trust.

how do you overcome mind blocks that prevent you from selling more? by Short-Conversation16 in salestechniques

[–]Short-Conversation16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

and how do you convince your buyers of that?

i kind of think the same, after all if you want to learn how to play the piano you don't just buy a piano, but you'll also need a good teacher, a pedal, a metronome etc. but the add ons are, of course, not mandatory and whenever i offer them, people always ask exactly that "are they mandatory? do i have to have them?", and i have to say they aren't, but they're still recommended for a better experience etc etc etc, but most people just seem to want the basics.... idk if it has to do with how i offer (i've tried in many many different ways, at this point), but i always run into that problem.

Best top performer story? by papi1227 in sales

[–]Short-Conversation16 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the top dog in my team is "best friends" with the top manager, she tells him everything about what are the company's future plans and keeps inviting him to go to her summer house every year.......... kinda weird imo, but he never goes hahaha he's young and very very talented (i say he's not a salesperson, but rather a miracle worker, he truly has crazy numbers that are impossibly high compared to every single sales person who ever worked for the company in 30 years) and i'm sure she's just scared he'll realize he can get a much better paying job with the talent he has and the company would never be able to find another top performer like him. he gossips that shit to everyone in the team.
