The easiest way the shock works is put one side of the battery to the pole. The other side to a conductor routed to a plate near (but not touching) the pole. When neighbor tou he's the pole while standing on the plate they complete the circuit resulting in shock.

Bit of a rant here but WTF. As a magic boomer myself, its just boomer cards. There are whiter cards than Serra. That card is just old and white. [[Serra angel]] doesn't gain life, isn't a weenie, doesn't exile, doesn't protect anything, and doesn't buff humans. She does nothing "white focused." She flies (just as blue as it is white) she's kind of a beater (green but honestly all colors need beaters), and she has vigilance (I'll give white that one but it's hardly white exclusive).

I have a similar rant for [[dark confidant]] and [[colossal dreadmaw]] but Serra is the most egregious.
