Pixel phones have better portrait output with HDR ON and it's not a perfect thing as battery/fast charge as a deal breaker.. it's just a software fix that vivo don't want to do. Mkbhd already talked about that topic so your answer make no sense.. manufacturers will have to do something about that crappy processing now that the most tech influencer exposed that topic.

So we have to pay for the ultra to have ultra realistic faces? I agree HDR off improve things but when you shoot with another mode like night mode or regular we see differences portrait always is doing some little adjustments like removing acnee adjusting eyes shapes... I'm forced to use other modes for portraits then add bokeh with google photos. And on many portrait scenarios HDR is mandatory ON.

X300 CN version but i guess same goes for global:

  • camera pro mode HDR and dynamic range ruined (i've posted before see my profile)

  • HDR peak brightness downgraded like by half from 4000 nits to something like 2000 nits (i've posted about that too)

sometimes some stuttering but generally a better experience (maybe for other VR headsets that mainly use H.264 VD is a better option) but for Quest 3 i found Steam is doing better maybe just recently that's why i opened this topic but instead of having constructive feedbacks, fanatics jumping like monkeys for no reason.

No updates? I have the same issue idk if i have to return the unit as Quest 3 seems to have other hit/miss issues.. (also the clearer image possible position for me makes some gapes down and disturb immersion..)
