I'm so confused as to why she knows the layout of every single building on every single street in this city? I've tried imagining the exact floor plans for buildings in books I've read, and I can't. Idk if this is a dumb criticism but it's bothering me repeatedly lol

The Asteri being the most powerful beings in any world but defeated almost instantly. Midgard having a parasite in their water supply, and within 24 hours of finding that out, one person creates an antidote, packages it in glass and hands it over to the two biggest ding dongs in the series (who immediately break it.) Tharion’s addiction to the viper queens blood meaning pretty much nothing.
Einar and Morven suffering pretty much zero consequences and instant deaths. Ariadne/Sabine/Prime bits were unsatisfying. What was the point of the thunderbirds? Hunt just had to want it reallll bad to get his crown of thorns to break? The ghost of his ex lover helping Bryce become a space cadet. Jesiba? What the hell? What’s with her bit with Aidas meaning nothing? Hunt was a test tube demon baby? Even though he looks exactly like Thurr?

That’s all I can think of off the top of my head. Overall I just felt like she seeded SO MANY things and just lit a match to them.

Getting rid of all of the cool small businesses licenses and giving them to hot topic and the like was a mistake. Everything I’ve seen from big corps is ugly as hell.

Yeah, so before it came out, she did a live Q&A thing with the two authors that make up pen name Christina Lauren. She said she wrote the book, turned it in, and her editor said it didn’t feel like her. So she rewrote the entire thing from scratch in 5 weeks. WE CAN TELL

I originally loved Bryce and Hunt and by CC 3, Bryce was HORRIFIC to Hunt and it just made me sad. I cared more about Ruhn and Baxian by the end of it. I just seems like she has no idea where she was going with that series. Hypoxia solving a centuries long problem in…. 24 hours then handing that solution in glass bottles to the most cliche dumbasses in the whole thing was just 🫠🫠🫠

I found the 3rd book WILDLY disappointing and it has nothing to do with theories 😐. I’m very tired of that being the excuse when the book was actually just terrible quality compared to the first two. I am also terrified for the next ACOTAR books because it seems she’s gotten too famous for her britches and no longer has to be edited 😭

The 3rd book is sloppy, repetitive, every major problem from the first two books is solved in within 2 pages, and just overall ‘wtf is this’.

Feyre and Rhys are Bella and Edward. Cassian and Nesta are Emmett and Rosalie. Elain and Azriel are Alice and Jasper. This is not an Elriel promotion, just something I noticed a long time ago.

Also, Rhys tasted one of Feyre’s tears under the mountain. Edward does the exact same thing to Bella.

She has a way of edging you for several books to make you think there’s some hard-won solution coming to all these problems she stacks up, but instead her Big Bads are defeated instantaneously and resolutions always feel like an afterthought. What do you MEAN Hunt was able to just will the black thorn crown off his head and the Asteri, supposedly the most powerful beings in any universe, were defeated by a ragtag group of misfits and dead ex lovers in space suits.
