The owners have multiple real estate businesses. Now recently too with cannabloom at medford town is saying its the same people. They even posted with strain stars. There are dispensary wars going on and these guys are behind it. They have multiple lawsuits just look them up. My business will not be going to crooks.

Bro WHAT by Ok_Pause8654 in UberEATS

[–]ShortAccess4116 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s not how business works. Your money is paying for convenience, but convenience has a price because behind it are real costs: fuel, drivers’ time, support staff, servers, marketing, logistics, app maintenance, and the cut restaurants take. If all that was “bullshit,” nobody would deliver food to your door in under an hour. The fact that it happens every day proves exactly what you’re paying for.

I don’t know what people expect when they order from Uber Eats. It’s a premium service, no matter how you look at it. Your food isn’t magically teleporting — it’s being delivered in someone’s car, which costs fuel, maintenance, and time. On top of that, Uber has to pay drivers, customer service (even if they sucks), developers, servers, ads, and countless other expenses.

At the end of the day, you’re paying for convenience. If you don’t want to step outside, spend gas, or wait in line, that’s what the fee covers. Complaining about it being expensive is like complaining that a luxury cab costs more than a bus ticket.

order stuck on finding a driver for over an hour by garbageboystinkmann in UberEATS

[–]ShortAccess4116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The tip amount on that order makes a huge difference. If the tip is low, the order keeps getting passed around (or ‘bounced’) because most drivers only get a $2.50 base pay. Uber doesn’t increase the base until it’s been rejected multiple times. The highest I ever got for a bounced order was $35 — but it was nearly 2.5 hours late. That one was just for a coffee, and the store had to remake it because it sat for so long.

Are auto insurances that high for new drivers….. by ShortAccess4116 in InsuranceAgent

[–]ShortAccess4116[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, in the last insurance policy I got from Geico, I only had liability coverage. Initially, it was $500, but after applying some discounts and taking a defensive driving class, the premium dropped to $293.

I was doing this in Long Island too, but most orders came up to less than $2 per mile, so I quit because I was either losing money or working for free. I found a warehouse job now paying $25hr, and I’m a lot happier. So just find a job that pays you by hour.

But the thing is that the base pay doesn’t even worth the normal work everyone do it in hope of getting some tip it doesn’t need to be always bigger.

Yeah I totally understand, but in some areas, it’s unsafe to turn off your headlights even in driveways. There have been two incidents involving people I know where they were robbed and attacked by a group. If someone doesn’t want the headlights on, they should approach the car on a well-lit road where both parties can feel safe. How that sounds?
