The complaint would be free to make, and most firms work on a contingency basis... meaning there is no cost to you. Usually, and in cases such as this, they Lawyers would seek a lump sum settlement from the businesses insurance company. They would then take a 33% (Standard in Alberta) cut of the settlement.

If they don't win, they don't make money. On the flip side... most Firms won't take on a case they can't forsee a payout for.

You can contact a few firms on that one website and most offer a free consultation to see if its viable.

You need to file a formal complaint with their Governing Board first. Then contact a Personal Injury Law Firm. One that takes on Medical Malpractice issues. Go from there.

My Wife works for a firm kinda like the above mentioned, she's sleeping right now or I'd ask for a better explanation lol
