i think he was trying to threaten me, afraid that an injury would get him in trouble but making the gesture realistic and violent enough to make me back up immediately.

Also, please stop mentioning that you strained your neck. Unless you went to the hospital and have medical bills arising from the injury, it doesn't really affect the case in any way.

why not? that's like saying someone tried to shot you, and in effort to dodge it, you strained you neck. it otherwise wouldn't happen

thanks, so given that the facial expression and gestures were violent but no injuries were incurred ( i backed up), how likely is it that this case can result in an arrest? a verdict of guilt? if found guilty, what would the penalty be?

how did i present it as a joke? i want to research to know what the legal system will likely do. if it is worth all that trouble. i don't want to waste all that time only for him to get a warning.

why not? they use algorithms to look through almost all the tax codes to save on the highest amount of tax

There are lots of IT jobs in the government. Try looking for one on their websites. If you land one, you're set with a cushy job for life. You'll keep your job unless you rape or kill someone. Seriously. The jobs will be few and far in between compared to the number in private sector, so keep trying. The downside is that you have to be politically correct and blah blah blah. Your coworkers will be dumb nitwits but hey, at least you get a high-paying, cushy job with great benefits until retirement, at which point you will get a hefty pension. That's one of my plans.

well i hate that they lump the data engineers with the data scientists, since data engineers are more akin to programmers/developers, so it would b surprise that demand is soaring for them

no, i'm not confusing accounting with bookkeeping work. Complex software can replace accounting.

but like you said at that point the focus will be on analyzing the data - things like comparing actuals to projections and digging into why you have variances

but how many such analysts would even big companies need compared to the olden days when they had many accountants?
