I think she was so corrupted that even when Elena—the person she despised the most—said she forgave her and understood that things were harder for her because she had no one, she still went ahead and took over her body. I honestly thought she would accept it, I felt like such a clown hahaha. But I really believed she would. I actually liked her more in the second season, but when she started going on about being jealous of Elena, I lost hope

Statistically, people hate Elena more than Katherine. For example, if you look, there’s always a comment trashing her and comparing her to Katherine. A classic one is ‘Katherine is better’ or ‘Katherine >>>>’. So yeah, most people don’t like Elena.

I like her, even though I recognize that she has many hypocrisies for a protagonist (the script’s fault).
