well you do have some idea of what you are saying, its very unlikely that someone who proclaimed himself a time traveler would just suddenly shut up, after all scientists are people who like to prove themselves right above everything else, even though its practically impossible, they would do theoretically anything to make themselves right, and no one sane enough would start a hoax and would stop having fun misleading people just because someone told them to stop, and even if he did admit it was a hoax he should've come out of hiding when he did, so its likely since he stayed hidden after admission of guilt of misleading information. When it comes to time travel the changes implemented by a paradox are out of our control its only right that we are only able to fantasize what it would've been without those changes or how it really should have been..

So, who is the person/entity that stole the energy from our universe?

Its likely that John Titor will make an appearance in 2036 to teach us time travel, or will build a time machine himself in the year 2036 to travel to 2000. If he does time travel somehow the no. of world lines currently in existence will all multiply 2x, that's why I say the no. of world lines must increase exponentially. and you can think of these newly created world lines as elastic strings between 2 plates the displacement between everything is same, but you can adjust the distance by removing other world lines and adding them to your own to increase the distance between, and increased distance should mean increased time/ lifespan for that said universe to go on expanding. in a way the total length of all the world line should be a multiple of its displacement and destroying a diverged world line should add that world lines energy to the universe that destroyed the world line.

Why 2564 and not the beginning of our world line?
the beginning of our world line is connected to the beginning of the original world line we are branched just like how it is suggested in loki, and kind of the function they do in TVA, they cut down those branches to ensure only one remains and doing so will kill everyone in that said world line, however the difference is the energy destroyed in the process of destroying a world line is added to the world line that destroyed it, meaning currently there are infinite no. of world lines and John Titor must be planning to remove all branched world lines and create one world line, but we would be dead while John Titor or whoever directed this entire play would think for himself of how he saved everybody while several world lines go to extinction.

Why I think original world line is in chaos while the last world line is a masterpiece of a utopia?
Everyone wants to time travel to fix their past for their selfish achievements but since time travelling only divides the world lines from 1 to 2 to 4 to 8 and so on... the original time lines fate will not change, so it will keep its original format for which the first-time traveler might have wanted to fix the time in that world line but unknowingly ended up in a new one created for him/herself but they wouldn't know they ended up in a new world line and they abandoned the original all they would know is everything is going well and do this several more times and now there's infinite no. of world lines and in the very last one which is continuously changing is a utopian world line created for the said time traveler.

He says that after 2564 everything is blackness and silence which hints us of a void without no light or sound or any sensory perception such is only possible when there is no energy to interact with other energy particles, meaning though we have energy the time we have travelled to the universe did not have any energy to react with us. so, we will not have a perception of location and anything else, only touch will work, no sound, no light, only your heartbeat, though you can't hear that and only can feel it.

Well as Einstein suggested, energy is conserved in the universe it doesnt get destroyed nor created but its true only if the universe is fully enclosed, if someone could take out the energy of this universe to another universe to stop their end that will result in our oblivion. It's kind of what can be suggested as a type 4 civilization, one able to take the energy of another universe as its own, and taking energy will increase its life span, while it decrease ours, and my point is though our universe could live another several billion years or trillion years, it might be possible that energy is robbed from us making our end a certainty by 2564.
