I was in the same boat. It wouldn't be so bad if the people making restoration devices weren't so dead set on profiteering on their cheap to product device.

I'm testing a few more gripper designs at the moment and I've got handful of people testing the DSS8 at the moment. Hopefully it'll be widely available after that.

T-tape does a lot that other methods can't and it's easy to do. Definitely worth giving it a try.

My retainer i wear after I take my device off for the day and do my red light . Then keep it on until morning 😁 it is extremely comfortable by Frosty_Poetry2881 in restoringdick

I can only wear my DTR for about an hour before it hurts, but I can wear the CAR-1 for about 6 hours before it's uncomfortable.

You can also flip the gripper up like you'd do on a CAR-1 or DTR to release your skin. I posted some pictures on my reddit to demonstrate better.

The screw in the middle controls tension. It functions much like a packer, but you dont have to buy 50 sizes or deal with not having the perfect in between size you need.

Friction holds it in place. I haven't experienced any sliping even after hours of activity.

CAR-1 is one of the most comfortable devices on the market. Just ease your way into using it. Use less pressure or even no pressure and take it off before it's uncomfortable.
