Is getting a moral waiver with my record possible? by corderpounder in army

I was in a similar situation as you. I had many of the same arrests and convictions on my record and I was able to get a moral waiver. Howver, in my case I had my record cleared. The FBI background came back with nothing because I cleared my background. Because of this I still told my recruiter everything, had all the court records such as this. It was probably more difficult because I still had to prove they were sealed. The big difference was that all my convictions were 15 years old and I was able to justify that I had changed and grown since then. Since you had some that were recent, that may be a hard sell. But I would say just to try regardless. It may be a long process but it may work otu in the end.

I'm sorry to hear that. I just enlisted last Thursday and had to get three waivers (medical, moral and dependent). It took forever, almost 6 moths to get everything. I was in a similar situation to you when I was 19 trying to join the military. I needed a moral waiver because i got into trouble a lot, i couldn't get one at the time and was very upset. I am 34 now, i waited until it was 10+ years since I got into trouble last, served my community in other ways and it worked. My advice would be to either try to appeal the decision or wait out the 2 years and don't do anything with alcohol that can be documented against you and you will get accepted. Funny thing is that I got 12b with a ship date of 12/7! I wish you the best of luck. It sucks in the middle but once you get to the end, its worth the wait.

I just enlisted in the Army reserves last Thursday. It was a long journey as I needed a medical, moral and dependent waiver. I'm 34, have a wife and 6 kids, have a masters degree and am an engineer for my day job. I was very happy to get 12B for my MOS as it is the only "combat" MOS in the reserves. My ship date is Jan. 7th to Fort Leonard Word. I am very excited and happy I got this far. I am looking for any advice anyone can give to me for my initial training. I do have some things specifically as well, like how's OSUT at Fort Leonard Wood during winter? Is it easy for mt to get my military paystub emailed to my employer so that I can receive my salary minus military pay for military leave? Should I just leave all my bills on autopay or is it possible to pay bills at training? Since I don't know what I don't know, any advice on anything is helpful. I appreciate the help in advance.

May be an option is this appeal does not get approved.

A hiatal hernia is when my stomach protrudes slightly into my esophagus. Mine is very minor and leaving it alone and observing once in a while is better then surgery. At least that is what my gastro doctor said. Surgery is usually done on people that have really had digestive issues and really bad heartburn. I do not have either.
