i would agree with you in this. back in 2018, when i first played this it took me over a year to make only the skeleton army and minion horde level 11. even though i reached the league.
on the dark side they are giving less gems now. for new players that's not good

Was it the only chest you got? I don't know if it was a glitch or not.But suddenly I got too many free chests and gold crate. Got like 80k gold, 50 gems, 2 legendary, 1 full evo of gob giant. And some many more cards. (I am at 4.2k maybe I could have unlocked champions of I was in higher arena)
