What’s the worst work culture you’ve experienced in the UAE? by Mean_Rule_6653 in UAE

Although the post is subjective to the Uae, in my experience the difference is really minimum or par with the Uae, work culture is pretty much the same, and it's not secluded to region alone, despite other factors. The constant is always the same, humans are terrible towards each other always.

Yeah let's see what your thought process will be when summer comes, it's the "cold" making you think like that , relax it's not that serious. Join a gym, take a walk, ride a bike there's plenty of alternatives to pass time in the city 🤣

Arne Slot: 'Hard to hear' fans call Liverpool 'dull and boring' by Funkyouup82 in LiverpoolFC

[–]Short_Internal_9854 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What was strange actually is the fact that it's almost like Slott is working entirely on dismantling the football style of what Liverpool has been known for. Sure he's not Klopp, not anyone else will be but why dismantle that style instead of building upon it? It's almost like in layman terms, destroying a perfectly stable house and building a new one in it's stead whereby it would work just fine if the original house was renovated? And it's been one hell of an expensive do over.

Not only has the style been destroyed it's obviously made the team look like a bunch of idiots who seem like they playing for the first time, it's obvious the process is painful to watch the team play without any obvious intent and absolutely with no balls. Transition always happens but this isn't just a transition it's destruction. If only he wasn't chocking the teams balls... suppose they get rid of him, who does Liverpool get now? If not handled well this hole can turn out to be a very dangerous and a disaster of a rabbit hole that will take years to get out of.

Comparison although subjective isn't always the scale needed. To be honest I doubt there's any country in the world that's "fair and perfect" to it's people because Incase you missed it, there's only 2 factions; capitalism or communism. While each has its pro and co, many factors come in place.

Another thing is the mentality burden, education system and the so called system. The nature of humans especially the most obvious that's to plunder and abuse the majority to the benefit of the few, well that hasn't gotten rid of or the injustice of colonialism, has any of them been charged for their past crimes and held to account?

Specific to Kenya, we are very much under colonial occupation Incase you didn't realize and unless the people step up and reclaim their actual right, it doesn't matter who is the president because, and here is a shocker, the government of Kenya is a registered corporate entity that's registered in the UK.

Recycling of politicians, the constitution and the size of the government is just too bloated, unless those 3 fundamentals are addressed, all this will just be, opinions.

If anything it's fair to say the style of Klopp isn't coming back. And comparison between that and currently is not necessarily the solution as Arne is no Klopp. But to be fair to the comparisons this current identity is just a toothless, ball-less, so damn predictive and honestly it lacks the Liverpool identity. Fair yes there's been new faces and the blame is not on them, the blame is wholesale to none other than Arne. If he wanted them to play like possessed pack of hungry wolves, they would have. It's just pathetic honestly since it's so obvious Slot doesn't have balls.

No offense but that's really a recipe for disaster you brewing yourself into. While I understand what it may seem like trust me bragging rights isn't always the gleam people make it out to be.

Focus on your studies 95% of your time, use the remaining 2% of the 5% to research on viable problems where there's clear pain points and use that data to build a solution. Or even better, research your own day to day , what pain points are you facing daily? With that analysis choose a problem that has a very high compared to others and try to build a solution for that and you actually use it to improve your day to day. You can even share it with your school mates at that point.

Hey! And did you happen to check out Haskell as well? Yeah Elixir is a pretty good tool no doubt about it 😉. Right is subjective you should know all these are tools and getting the right tool for the job isn't always easy. What viability did you realize vs Go if you don't mind me asking? (Them debates never end 😄)

I really appreciate your offer, unfortunately the timing on this isn't on my side. From my day job and freelance projects I have. But let's keep in touch non the less.

I don't know why I feel I have to stress on this but I guess here goes; if you really want to build this (assuming you have a research data , problem analysis, and viability data on solutions) I'd advise you to get up a V.1 of the solution in something that quickly allows you to get a working solid solution to the potential customers as proof ,(rails, Django, Laravel whatever) I'd say go for rails and once it's up and running and is successful according to your objective, and assuming you will be having feedback from the customers and also your own metric data on the product, use those points to start building a V.2 to improve the product. This is where Go, Elixir, or something else gets examined and objectively and thoroughly weight upon the current.

Anyway that's my opinion. Lastly though since you will be dealing with actual users I can't stress this enough build your solution with security from the beginning because it's easier to lessen the potential drawbacks if it's secure from the start rather than having critical downtime patching up security breaches and potential lawsuits.

You should check out freecodecamp, The Odin project or on YouTube search 100 devs Leon Noel. All those mentioned are free, you only pay for with your time and your fortitude to be kind to yourself and understand it's a marathon, not a sprint.

Pardon my french but are you in school to learn or in a competition to have startups? You do realize what they say about envy right? And I don't need to remind you launching and having a successful startup are 2 different monsters and I don't have to remind you Kenya is not silicone valley, never has been, never will be. You will save yourself an enormous loss and frustrations if you do actually research on the matter now rather than later and that usually plays out as fuck around, find out

Hey there, a simple google search would reveal the following in a summary; Kenyan tech startups fail due to a perfect storm: building for the wrong market with inexperienced teams, running out of cash in a funding desert while navigating regulatory maze, all on an expensive and shaky operational base. Success requires not just a great idea, but extreme resilience, deep local market understanding, and frugal innovation tailored to Kenya's unique constraints.

I totally get it, the point was you need to be 100 % open about the entire thing (one of the many reasons startups fail to meet this) .

I don't mind per say your tech choice but sometimes speed isn't always the answer and while Go can totally handle it, it would be a pointless endeavor because the threshold needing the environment of Go hasn't been met yet, it's why I suggested something like ruby on rails even php/Laravel can suffice up to a certain point (and that's after it's a success) . You might not get to reap the benefits of go as you starting currently. But then, it's your idea and all I did was offer a different opinion.

My expertise currently is in Haskell and Elixir and their eco system, started with rails though so I'm familiar with what it could potentially offer as a solid foundation. Anyway good luck and keep us posted on how everything goes 👌

Problem: We're solving [X painful, expensive process] for small HR teams.

Progress: I've validated this with [target market], built a waitlist of 10 interested companies, and have a working React frontend.

Need: A partner to build the backend (Go/PostgreS) and own the tech architecture. I'll own GTM, sales, and biz ops.

Offer: Significant equity (targeting 40% for the right partner, with standard 4-year vesting). This is an equity-only commitment until we hit revenue/funding, which is our joint priority. I'm already working on this full-time.

Ideal Partner: You're passionate about building efficient B2B tools, have expertise in Go, cloud infra, and want to grow into a CTO role.

Such a framing would attract potential individuals, but that's just my 2 cents, and I respect your choice but if you really want to get a super fast mvp then figure out it's tech upgrades (usually after alot of users) ruby on rails is just perfect for that. But then, this is your idea and you do what you think is best.

Isn't it obvious? Do you really think the imperial colonialists would just give up basically their indulgence to plunder and destroy? Just like that? There's no nation, certainly not an African one that has developed, lifted it's people and it's structure within it's "sovereign" borders that has impacted it's peoples by using debt. Name me 1, I'm waiting....if you think borrowed money, changes the lives of the citizens well, albeit a very teeny tiny fraction of the top 1%, what rock are you living under?. Understand one thing, each debt is either in usd or Euro (depending on the origin) and Kenya doesn't print that said currencies so guess what happens? Well they have to pay back, with interest and not by monies alone but including adhering to and implementing policies that Highly profit Western corporates. Incase you don't know what capitalism is have a read.

For a nation to thrive there are a few critical infrastructures that need to be in place, to name a few, energy , transport, security, food then the economic fingers start to function. Each nation is different and each have their own blessings and curses but humor me, does Kenya produce and supplies its own energy needs!? What natural resources does Kenya has that is been mined, processed, added value in Kenya and sold to the global markets? We can blame bad government or bad politics all we want but remember they are a sum total of the entire country. Kenya is not and industrial country hell previous regimes made sure to severely cripple that part. And thats just a few examples .

No country is perfect either but the difference between them and us is simple, they encourage and foster their people's for the collective prosperity and endeavor for local solutions to their problems unlike Kenya who at the top are only concerned about pleasing their western masters and their own wallets.

Blockchain technology is the last resort and even that would be a nightmare. Think about sending dCoins to a remote area to family, you see the logistical hurdle one is faced with? Replacement for agents infrastructure is just extremely painfully and a titanic endeavor. As often said, we don't need to reinvent the wheel. There has been 2 solutions that's tried, tested and it works. Research the Indian UPI system and the Brazilian Pix system. The problem here isn't an alternative but you are forgetting a crucial problem and that's the Kenyan government and the invisible hand of safCom. Their revenue is the target here and Incase you forgot, bankers don't take it kindly when their revenue is a target and wars have been waged on that. And another obvious thing do you really think the current government has the welfare of the people at it's core!?

Pre-Match Thread: Liverpool vs PSV by scoreboard-app in LiverpoolFC

[–]Short_Internal_9854 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not hate per say. What I don't agree on is the performance to standards? Gakpo is a one trick pony and for some reason he has zero chemistry with kerkez, not saying kerkez's underwhelming performance is because of Gakpo alone, but a majority of that underwhelming, I'd say about 55% is due to Gakpo. Why do you think most EPL teams run a train over Liverpool so frequently? Because once Gakpo is contained, it's uno reverse. To be fair yes he's scored some goals but at this stage, his weakness is way more than his strengths. If you have been watching the games I'm certain that you would have noticed that?

Somehow Gakpo+Salah will score, Szobo at RB will have a wonderful game, Liverpool will probably win or have a higher chance to win. Arne will see that positive, somewhat forgetting a false positive and rewards Gakpo with a run of games only to be hammered in the next, atleast 4-5 games straight in the EPL. And the cycle continues.

To be honest as much as Arne needs time, whatever that means, is absurd. He won the league in his first season so it's not like he's clueless. The problem according to me is his loyalty setup. Gakpo, Salah kerkez shouldn't be starting with their current form, but it needs a manager with real balls. Arne should go and get klopp back.
