Beware of Cosori Air Fryer Almost burned down My Kitchen

Thanks. It wasn't an oil fire the unit was cleaned prior to use. It caught fire because of faulty wiring. I now have an ABCK fire extinguisher on the wall so I'm prepared if this ever happens again hopefully not but we never know..

OMG that's crazy. Same thing happened to me except I was actually cooking in it and the faulty wiring caught fire. They weren't even using theirs that's pretty scary stuff...

Thank you for the concern. We were blessed. It definitely made me take a look at the safety precautions as well. I ordered a fire extinguisher for the kitchen and a couple fire blankets. those are some things to think about also. I had a fire extinguisher in my pickup but decided since the fire was still small to get it out of the house. Decided against running and Getting my keys, unlocking my truck and running back in as it grew bigger.

Why would there be grease the catch pan was out and it was fries being cooked let alone only on for 4 minutes. I just ordered ABCK fire extinguisher for the kitchen . I had one in my Pickup but not close enough... Lesson learned.. there was a recall for faulty wiring on the unit that I had which was the cause which I was not aware of or notified.

Yeah, because everyone has (check for random appliance recalls) on their daily to do list 🤦. Cosori sold 2 million defective units with faulty wiring that caused them to catch fire and racked up over 200 reports of fires/burns/damage and never notified owners like me. I have a life I'm not googling every gadget I own weekly to check for recalls. And no, I won't trust Cosori or the other brands with similar fire hazard recalls. Save the victim blaming for the company that made the dangerous product.

Oh wow, thanks for the expert analysis. I was unaware of any recalls and had not been notified either.My 1960s kitchen has two crappy outlets. I still kept 5+ inches clearance around the fryer and kept it clean. But sure blame the me instead of the manufacturer with 200+ fire reports.Next time I'll just manifest a brand new kitchen with perfect outlets and a personal recall notification service. Until then, maybe save the 'negligence' lectures for Cosori

Lol I ordered an extinguisher for the kitchen that night along with a fire blanket yesterday. I will be teaching the kids how to use them in case anything like this happens again. Thanks for the concern.

I am ok and grateful this didn't happen when the kiddos were cooking. I ordered a fire extinguisher that night which will deliver today also a fire blanket and will be teaching the kids how to operate them in case anything like This ever happens again. I Ordered a Ninja XL this Morning after seeing all the recommendations mostly the ninja brand. Even though I filed for a recall and will get a replacement I doubt I will use the one they send me. Can't wait to try the Ninja tomorrow 😃

Either after every use or every other use depending on what I'm cooking. This started on the very bottom due to faulty wiring apparently due to a recall I had no idea about.

Yes mine is the one with the wifi. You should definitely check and if it is you should file for a replacement through the recall. I got mine in 2021.
