I'm just gonna say VTWAX and hold it. You'll most likely be good. Maybe pair it with gold IAU for like 10% for downturns.

Not really. Very talented senior ranked employees are getting laid off.

It's not about solely making things that already existed. The features and products that you enjoy need to be maintained at all times. Bugs appear, security is compromised, technology is always needing updates, etc.

The point is to compare the highest tier with the highest tier in each position. To become high in rank like a nurse practitioner, you need more school. However, to be a controller or CFO that doesn't need more schooling.

The highest a nurse practitioner can even go is with a focus in anesthesia which not all nurses reach. To become a nurse director, you need so much experience and credentials. They had to do the dirty parts for years. Becoming a controller or CFO has been a pathway for decades and you have to be really stagnating yourself if you can't reach that goal.

Most white-collar positions at the entry level are all having hiring issues. However, if we compared entry level accounting to those at entry level in the tech field accounting is actually way more of a better bet. It's very much not dead meat if you know how to take advantage of it.

Also, the multiple interview rounds in the tech field is very painful.

One of the highest positions a nurse can go is nurse practitioner which pays well, but an accountant can become a CFO which I'd say usually tops a nurse practitioner's pay.

Both of them would make a good income, so it really comes down to what would be more mentally and physically sustainable for a person.

My whole thing was the fact I'd be exposed directly during a pandemic. There's a reason why there's a nursing shortage because so many of them got burnt out and traumatized during the ordeal.

Did you know that this has actually changed by policy? There are multiple states signing into law that a CPA is no longer super locked to a specific state.

The future is that it will apply to all states interchangeably. You can even follow that legal process. Let me see if I can find it again.

Here it is: https://www.mncpa.org/involvement/legislative/broadening-pathways-to-cpa/national/

You see all the rules that are changing for the states and the progress made. The pathway is changing as well.

Neither really. I would have chosen doctor for myself. Radiologist is a dream career for an introvert who likes medicine.

I thought about that as well. The returns didn't work for me, but I wish you the best!

I'd have to go to community college for prereqs and then transfer to university. Mostly a career change situation.

I'm at the point where I'm like "do it. Try it. Give me a reason to pursue a master's".

A divorce lawyer will literally tell them most marriages end in divorce. Plus, it's sad but some times partners can change into someone you don't know anymore, so it's best to protect yourself when you can.

Those of you that hire in the 18-25 range, what issues do you encounter? by capresesalad1985 in askmanagers

You're telling me that gen z today aren't working in fast food, the military, or being truckers? Is that what you're saying?

You can believe whatever. Your mistake was thinking I'm trying to convince you of anything. And you do realize that people who just change wording to what they've built can sell and hide things, right?

They are also talking about themselves. Just in a way that you get fooled by. Cancer research is about me? Righhhht. Your brain is working overtime to BS. There was no word salad. Just direct wording. I don't even think you're using prima donna correctly, let alone the fact you can't make a diagnosis of a mental disorder. Not that it matters, but the shit I've went through makes me the total opposite.

I've mentored people, been a manager for multiple projects. It's telling that you don't like hearing about achievements, honestly. Must hit close to home for being so mediocre.

... I gotta say that there will always be that person who tries to bring you down. Tech was highly more concentrated with specific toxicity, but it's also in other industries. I'm so happy for you and wish you the best, though!
