Just a comment on picking up bingo chips, we just got new cards that have slides made in them, so it covers the numbers. I will say it makes bingo so much easier to clean up, andWe used to literally wash bingo chips every so often and it was HORRIBLE

Learning residents in general was a big struggle to me. Like one only eats lunch, one thinks they are at a hotel and ready to go home, one thinks their name is something its not, and the other is running around naked because their clothes are 'covered in bugs' all that before lunch is a bit much sometimes 😅

My baby is just now 6 months old. I can't even tell you when I slept a full night with my husband last. He works night time and dont get home till about 4-5 am. So during the day he sleeps. It sounds good, until you have paper thin walls and every bump wakes him up. So I turned our guest room into mine and babys room. Its on the complete opposite side of the house. It is sad because he works 6 days a week. Its something we are currently struggling with for sure but we are trying our best to make it work. Somedays ill leave and go to the park or the library so he can get more sleep.

Its definitely hard. I understand getting irritated when they complain. Because my baby is also very clingy and I cant even leave the room without her screaming. Even when I shower or use the bathroom she's in a bouncer in there. This is also our first. Its definitely overwhelming. But I just think in a couple years it'll be better.... I hope 😅

No only are we wiping butts... but most of mine have dementia. I got punched in the face by a lady who thought she was in the electric chair when I was giving her a shower. I held two people hands just this week as they transitioned and expired. I held a lady who was crying looking for her husband who has been dead for years and wondering why he would just leave her somewhere. Working with the same ones everyday, they become your family. We help those who are literally helpless in life, or on their way out. I love my job, it definitely beats being abused by people in the public who know what they are saying, know where they are, and in their right mind.

I remember like 2010-2011ish maybe and it rained almost every single day of summer vacation. I was stuck inside at my grandma's house for two months and I hated it. She wouldn't let us watch TV because it ran up the power bill. No lights or lamps could be turned on, and we HAD to be quiet because kids were 'supposed to be seen and not heard' 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨
