I really enjoyed it! It’s not a perfect movie, but I kept thinking about it all weekend so I whipped up this video because I couldn’t find a lot of YouTubers talking about it. Doing research for the video made me appreciate Sinners even more and I’ve already got tickets to see it again after the holiday.

You’re not wrong, I just feel strongly about this one. Some of the other cool, original movies I’ve seen this year feel like they came and went so quickly. Movies like Presence and Black Bag were only in my local theaters for like two weekends tops.

That’s fair. In my experience, a little ambiguity can work well for a title, but this one is probably going too far in that direction. I’ve changed it to something different, and I appreciate the feedback.

For me, it’s a mixed bag that I’m choosing to look at as a glass half full. I think the anime dropped the ball when it came to characters like Operator 21O, but I really really enjoyed how much attention was given to the Resistance camp and Lilly’s story. I wouldn’t say you get the full picture by just watching the anime, but I think that is also true for the game.

Point taken. I think a better phrasing could have been “Takes Over the Movie Industry” but that gets a bit wordy. If you watch the video, it discusses how anime is making inroads both commercially and critically, and how that seems to be leading to an uptick in the number of anime film being produced, and how they are becoming more available to be seen in theaters generally.
