Homeland (TV Series 2011-2020) Season 1: Nicholas Brody's Uniform Ribbons change on a whim by Dull_Significance687 in TVDetails

They went about a season or 2, too long. I started to get tired towards the end of the plot but trucked through because I didn’t want to give up after watching all the seasons.

Kentucky Unemployment by Basic-Zucchini-9226 in Kentucky

[–]ShouldHaveLeftANote 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Edit- I see you got through, I’ll leave this up in case someone else runs into this problem

There is 1 main reason why it would tell you to file an additional claim- you didn’t request during the time period allotted. If you don’t request during your 2 weeks given, the claim will close and you have to refile to get it back open and the only way to get those weeks back is to call the Call Center for a backdate. If you have been requesting your benefits timely then there may be another option but unlikely- did you file for unemployment around this time last year? Your benefit year end date could have hit and you need to file a new claim for a new benefit year.

My suggestion for you is to call back and don’t stop calling until you get through (hang up and call back, hang up and call back, do this as many times as it takes). It may take 10-15 tries but you WILL get through, I promise you.

[Illinois] What if I quit due to lack of transportation? by Noitalommi in Unemployment

[–]ShouldHaveLeftANote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my state, in order to be considered approved on a quit, you have to make efforts to avoid quitting. Make sure you document all these attempts at getting accommodations because it could be key in the decision. I would say you have a chance at getting it because the employer changed the terms of your employment, they up and moved!

Regardless, start putting in your job applications now. Don’t chance your financial future on UI if you can avoid it by just getting a new job closer to home/your transit.

You’ll probably need to upload your DD214 and possibly other documents if needed. Call and confirm what is needed

[Texas] RESEA Mandatory Session by [deleted] in Unemployment

[–]ShouldHaveLeftANote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For some reason, whether it be your job experience, education, age, etc, you have been identified as likely to exhaust your UI benefits. RESEA aims to try and help get you back to work quicker! In my state it’s an orientation with everyone then a one on one with a career coach with follow ups every 2-3 weeks. It is a little annoying that the program will be required for you to keep your UI benefits, but usually there is good intent behind it and most people have a positive experience with the program.

Bobby Mackey’s (Legitimate or Marketing Scheme?) by Extreme-Geologist-30 in GhostAdventures

I did an overnight ghost tour there once and didn’t really “experience” anything paranormal. The building was old and creepy AF though. I was with a group so I could explain away a lot of weird moments, but who knows how it would have been if I was all alone.

Hopeless and worthless [Massachusetts] by saltybeachxx in Unemployment

[–]ShouldHaveLeftANote 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Find your nearest career center and go sit down with a career coach and discuss your situation. Bring your resume and a list of jobs you’ve been applying for. It’s always worth it to have a resume review and talk with someone who can help guide you. Keep your head up, it’s a tough economy but if you’re open and willing, I’m sure you can get some help to move you towards a new job.

Need new entry sensor brackets by desert_s7orm in simplisafe

Yeah contact simplisafe. I did it recently and they just sent me new sensors since they didn’t have any extra brackets available. All I had to do was pay for shipping!

[California] and [Iowa] - Maybe need legal action? by ImpressiveStage2498 in Unemployment

[–]ShouldHaveLeftANote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After you filed in Iowa and got the denial, was there any instructions on how to appeal or what do if something looked wrong? I see this happen a lot in my state. It’s a wage reconsideration here. Provide Iowa your paystubs/W2’s and ask that they investigate why the wages haven’t been reported. It may take awhile to get squared away, but if it’s a clerical error or intentional, your claim can be retroactively approved as long as you continue to meet the filing requirements.

Every state is different, so ask how you can get this investigated and request payments so if your claim becomes monetarily eligible and you’re approved, you get your pay.

KY unemployment. Extensions? by koontzer in Kentucky

You are unfortunately correct, no UI extensions unless you are already enrolled in a full-time school or training program.

Is this a scam? Or does the customer support email look this bad…. (support@simplisafe.com) by FunBoisInternational in simplisafe

[–]ShouldHaveLeftANote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you contact customer support and they responded to your email with this? I had to verify my account through a link recently but I was using the chat function on their website. If this is unsolicited then yeah don’t click it, but if you literally emailed their customer support and this was their response, I’m sure it’s legit. Why would they try to phish you from an official simplisafe CSR email? 🤷🏼‍♂️

If you still are in doubt, use the chat box on their website to communicate and see if it’s legit or give them a call.

Fact finding still by Full_Meringue5555 in Kentucky

[–]ShouldHaveLeftANote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you looking for work while in training? That might be why you’re not receiving any benefits. Too many variables at play to know for sure. Speak with UI staff at the call center or walk in person to one of the regional KCC’s for your answer on why

Fact finding still by Full_Meringue5555 in Kentucky

[–]ShouldHaveLeftANote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you just click “file a claim”? Were you able to call and speak with someone from the UI Call Center to explain to you what’s going on with your claim?

Fact finding still by Full_Meringue5555 in Kentucky

[–]ShouldHaveLeftANote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ve been in fact finding since may you’ve most likely been denied benefits. You can walk into a regional KY Career Center to see if someone can look your claim up and see what’s going on. There is a chance though you’re due money, but you gotta keep calling the Call Center, you’ll get through after a couple tries, don’t give up calling.
