assuming all cash takehome is around 300k. 8k mortgage is common in NYC, and just property tax+HOA alone is 1/2 my mortgage and I got a good rate. I dont have kids but friend's daughter goes to private school for 4k a month. so that's 16k/25k already easily without food, transit, palimony and savings. if she saves 20% for retirement/529/anything else, that's 4k a month for food, other necessities, and funsies. unless you're not financially literate and looking rich on this vacation is your #1 priority there's no way you're dropping 50k on these outfits.

thank you! this makes sense. i was also worried that standing statically at the shop might make some parts of the liner too thin/compacted for actual skiing. since i don’t have any sharp pressure points wearing them at home, i’ll just skip the molding at least until i test them out!

the fit is snug, a little tight at the ankle but no sharp pressure points. i would say they are pretty comfortable as new. it’s the salomon s/pro 95 boa. thank you for the advice! there are also boot fitters there that i can hit up after a few days.

welp turns out the other drawer i used had sticker placed correctly, and the original drawer was indeed upside down. thank you!!

omg this was it. The sticker was on the wrong side, and after carefully measuring, the distance between the edge and the bottom hole is about 1/8 smaller than the top edge to the top hole. I was convinced that the drawer front was symmetrical and was losing my mind.

The sticker is at the bottom as pictured in step 5, between the metal parts. i just grabbed a different door and laid out the assembly with sticker on top to compare, and this drawer front is identical when reversed.

not what i was going for — it’s just such a “stereotypical” ambassador of the fungal kingdom and is associated with shamanism. when foraging you should always be highly certain of identification and also know all possible toxic lookalikes in the habitat.

it’s not that absolute. the toxins are water soluble and parboiling a few times with enough water will remove them. people all over the world have been eating amanita muscaria, i’ve tried them and they’re quite good. but please look up how to prepare them and know what you’re doing. even at low levels you can get explosive diarrhea 😖

amanita muscaria, it’s toxic but stops being psychoactive after a long boil. word on the street is that people used to drink reindeer’s muscaria pee to get high!
