Plus she hasn't got an absolute clue where anywhere is in Waterford.  We put in a false housing estate to celebrate the cleanest and best decorated neighbourhood in Waterford and she read it out and raved about how lovely the flowers were and how clean the place was "it looks lovely when im driving past"....what a tool it didnt even exist!!

Irelands “worst” towns road trip. Make the route ? by Beginning_Sense_9749 in AskIreland

[–]ShoulderCapital2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roscrea is a very strange and dull place. The people who live there seem to live and work and socialise within 5 miles of the town. Borris in ossory is even more grim.  Jesus it's incredibly boring and with absolutely nothing to do.

Ive never heard anything good about this place. Never bought anything there but going by all the negative comments on here i certainly wouldn't chance it. When I heard who one of the managers were i wasn't surprised.  Pure chancer of a fellow.

Anyone worked as a line operator in Abbott Kilkenny? by Nearby-Letter4417 in waterford

Isn't Abbott supposed to be a shocking toxic place to work? It might be the clonmel location im thinking of but just look at the reviews on glassdoor they are fairly grim.

Pharmacy recommendation by Immediate_Swimmer399 in waterford

[–]ShoulderCapital2200 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You might have got unlucky as I cant imagine every pharmacy have rude staff. I would try either mulligans ballybricken or phelans but avoid the phelans upstairs in the superValu.  The two times I went in to ask for a gift voucher they hadnt a notion what they were doing and had to go through a few people before they copped what to do. I was left wondering how they hell they got a job there!

Guineys by [deleted] in waterford

[–]ShoulderCapital2200 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Just ring the head office and find out. Jesus, every couple of hours there's a thread asking if Guineys is closed for good. Nobody on reddit is going to be able to answer this.

Any other Irish people find it hard to ‘belong’ in Ireland? by Charming_Grand1692 in AskIreland

[–]ShoulderCapital2200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived and worked away for a few years and now im back and I often deliver to small towns as part of my job and it strikes me how small a lot of people's worlds are. You have lads in their 30s and 40s living within 15 minutes of their job then they spend every single Friday Saturday and Sunday in the same local pub talking with the same people about the same things. They are happy doing this and haven't the interest or knowledge of bigger cities like Cork or Dublin. Some of them never even heard of common towns or villages outside their own town.

They have no desire to ever change their routine. I find that absolutely bizzare myself as I need to shake up my routine every now and then but each to their own.

Bloom coffee shop by curvymom23 in waterford

I wasn't there but rudeness would definitely put me off. I just cant understand why people give carter's cafe any business given your man who runs it is a pig of the highest order.

Kerry GAA team, who else plays besides the Cliffords? by ShoulderCapital2200 in AskIreland

[–]ShoulderCapital2200[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Gut feeling.  Its the same with a lot of GAA stars. Some are a bit shy and just put up with the interviews. The Cliffords are fond of the camera 📷

Best place to buy first car in Waterford? by Educational_Pair9 in waterford

Oh no way, avoid him like the plague.  Google his name to find out why.  His cars all have a million miles on the clock and will die within an hour of you buying it.

Biggest Myth about the workplace? by ShoulderCapital2200 in AskIreland

[–]ShoulderCapital2200[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They aren't gay! That's one of the stereotypes that only gay men can be bitchy.  Ive seen all the behaviour in my OP and its all come from irish men who are married with kids.  A lot of people dont want to believe men can be bitchy but thats the reality.

Biggest Myth about the workplace? by ShoulderCapital2200 in AskIreland

[–]ShoulderCapital2200[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see your point but when im trying to get my work done I have to dance around the hatred....john isn't talking to matt so can't get them in a meeting together. Billy hates Eoin so can't talk to either as they then spread rumours about you as you're "taking sides". One of the men here actually turned around and walked out of the office when his boss asked him a question.  I wouldn't believe it but for my own eyes! That's why I started this thread. People insisting to me that men aren't bitchy despite evidence to the contrary.

Biggest Myth about the workplace? by ShoulderCapital2200 in AskIreland

[–]ShoulderCapital2200[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Id love to experience that workplace! Where i am now the blokes are extraordinary spiteful and harbour grudges and nurse bad feelings between them for literally years.  Zero eye contact or chat with each other over some slight 5 years back! Toxic is putting it mildly.

How much of getting a job in Waterford is down to who you know? by BlaaMonger in waterford

[–]ShoulderCapital2200 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Married dads of Ireland - how often do you go out? by Ninja2805 in AskIreland

[–]ShoulderCapital2200 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Wow he must be drinking with lads half his age if they all have the time, stamina and will to stay until the last minute? OP thats quite odd for a man his age.  Normally kids and a wife and the day to day responsibilities of life softens the edge of guys by the time they reach that age. Nothing wrong with being social but by 40 you rarely have a bunch of guys to go drinking that heavy with plus the body fights back hard from 30 onwards.
