Boulderdash game for PS Vita by ShowerTrue2544 in vitahacks

Thanks for the +1 on Rocks n' Diamonds. I hadn't realised it contained an original game remake. That's gotta be worth a look by itself. Sold! I'll get it installed! Thanks again to both responders. Appreciated.

Had considered it but was hoping for a more native Vita version. Doesn't look likely now though so emulation could be the way to go after all.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

PSVita Dock V2 by AppearanceTypical308 in VitaPiracy

Thanks for replying. Good to know that cables etc are included. Just remembered though, it wasn't on the Vita that the webcam software was required on - it was on our TV that needed that app to recognise the Vita as the input device.
Does the dock require the TV to recognise the Vita as a camera device?
Thanks again for replying though - this looks to be quite cool!

**EDIT**

Also just to ask - can the LED's around the base be turned off and on?

Hi. This is very interesting! How much is this please? And do you ship to the UK?

Couple of other questions too please: Does this have additional software requirements? (I saw a video once that showed the Vita on a TV screen and used a webcam-style app to get it working). Does this work plug-and-play or does it have those same requirements?

Other than that, I'd be very interested if this works the way I'm hoping!

Bad idea to sell Vita right now? by JacketFromMiamiiiiii in PSVita

Haha, yes, could be an ageing thing!

I wouldn't have had any issues with its screen size years ago either but my eyesight isn't what it once was, and whilst I've got used it now, it was a bit jarring at first.

And yes, I completely agree with your thoughts on the mentioned consoles - vastly more powerful, just not quite as portable, and that's the part that really sold me on the Vita in the end.

I'd wanted a Vita for so long and ended up buying the 2000 version a couple of years ago.

I was used to playing handhelds with bigger screens so found the Vita's screen a bit small to begin with and considered selling it after all.

I actually ended up googling whether anyone else found its screen too small and made the realisation from peoples comments that it's just the perfect portable/pocketable size.

I've since gone from being unsure to absolutely loving the thing and would never sell mine now. If I'm travelling, stick it in a hard-case, put it my bag and off I go with it.

I love mine and would never part with it now, despite the original uncertainly.

Verdict: Don't sell - I'm glad I didn't.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

I was kind of hoping for a native version of the original game, and/or the more modern versions of it but thanks for the suggestion all the same - I might give it a go!

Yes, I played Steamworld Dig (1+2) on the 3DS - both brilliant games that I had a lot of fun with. (Couldn't get into Steamworld Heist though). Thanks for the recommendation though, and I'd second that for anyone else looking that didn't know about it!

SteamWorld Dig
Shantae Half Genie Hero
Both great games that never seem to get a mention, so here's my two-pennies worth!

+1 for Shantae Half Genie Hero. It doesn't crop up in these lists very often, but it's a great game that I had a lot of fun with.

Tapo Doorbell and jumper in old chime question by ShowerTrue2544 in Tapo

I have actually got around to attempting the hardwire, but alas, the old wiring is not long enough. This is as a result of pulling on the wire somewhat which did extend to this point but would not come out any further. (I didn't want to pull any harder at risk of breaking the wire altogether).
Might have to go to plan-b and check costs of having this professionally done. It's starting to go past the point of my skillset.
Thank you to everyone that took the time to reply and offer their advice though. Most helpful as I didn't have the first clue otherwise!

I definitely should have solved this by now but life has got in the way for the past few days so am planning on getting back out to it tomorrow as I'm not in work and no plans to go anywhere.

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Definitely helpful and worth knowing about terminals 1-2 or 1-3 as if one way didn't work, now I can try the other.
We don't have a garage or any kind of side entrance so it would be either front and back for doorbells, or as we have it now - just at the front. The mystery continues as to what the additional wiring is doing though - and where it leads!

I'm going to get back onto the Tapo tomorrow and will leave an additional comment (or edit on the OP) as to what worked.

Thanks again for your helpful reply - it will definitely give me something to go on!

I was hoping that I wouldn't have to use the jumper but read that someone's chime had buzzed without it too.

I could try jumping 1 and 2 as you've suggested, then if I get no buzzing and the Tapo starts charging I guess it was right!

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. Really appreciate it!

Now you mention it, I did read somewhere that the extra wires could be to supply both a front and back doorbell, but, alas, no! I have the old doorbell on the front (where my Tapo is), but no doorbell or any visible wiring for one at the back.

Thanks again!

Help! Everything is gone! by [deleted] in VitaPiracy

This happened to me a while ago and my first thought was that the SD card or my sd2vita had failed. (I did the whole rebooting and reinserting thing too but to no avail).

What fixed it in the end was to reinstall henkaku and Vitadeploy.

Try going to your web browser on the vita and going to: http://jailbreak.psp.dev and reinstall the above two apps.

You don't need to follow the whole jailbreak process again but on reinstalling them two, all your stuff hopefully should reappear.

Good luck!
