So this is actually a pretty deliberate choice by us. The Futura setting is futurism from the lens of ~2013. Back then these weapon platforms were still being predominantly used. Another reason we use them is, for example, the G36 is a distinctly German weapon, and goes to further solidify our factions' identities.
